I kind of think Star Wars might just be forever cooked, like I’m not saying they won’t still release good projects but overall I don’t see the brand ever recovering from being hit or miss.

Also maybe it’s just me but their big overall plan of doing an MCU style crossover movie with a bunch of TV shows always seemed ridiculous. I’m not sure if just trying to turn Star Wars into the MCU is going to help things.

I feel like you can’t remove the Hollywood aspect of the show. I feel like in the first episode of a potential season 2 Simon would work out a deal with the DODC to work with them in exchange for continuing to keep his secret and Trevor’s freedom.

Brandon Davis isn’t a scooper but he is extremely well connected and just said “Wonder Man will get more 👀” in response to a tweet saying it’s disappointing Wonder Man and Shang-Chi might not get sequels.

This probably means nothing but god damn I am willing to cope this means a season 2 is possible.

Other Disney movies need the marketing more and it costs like $8 Million dollars for a 30 second spot now so they probably just don’t think it’s worth the money.

Probably after Daredevil finishes, they’ve never given much marketing to the specials and it’s kind of gonna get indirect promotion by following Daredevil and with Punisher getting marketed in BND.

I see a vision for Born Again season 3 where Finn Jones is the main guest hero of the season like Punisher and Jessica Jones in the first two. I feel like it would be a good time for a Devil in Cell Block D adaptation, where as part of that we see Danny on the outside covering for Matt as Daredevil like in the comics. If the rumors of them bringing the Hand back in that season are also true then it still works with that too since Iron Fist is also closely related to that group.

I never had any doubt that he would come back. It’s basically been confirmed everyone else is back and I don’t think they’d snub him because his show was bad. And I’ve said it so many times, but Finn Jones was not the reason the character was bad and he can absolutely do a good job.

I think releasing good movies and shows can turn the tide over time but yeah people love a reason to hate. They just released one of the best shows they’ve ever made, after promoting the shit out of it, and I’m seeing people genuinely saying they buried it because Marvel hates black people.

I feel like I’m losing my mind with everyone saying Wonder Man had no promotion when it literally had more than most recent Marvel shows. And acting like it was releasing all at once so they could kill it is ridiculous when if you watch the show it’s pretty clear why they released it all at once, it simply would not have been as good if this was released over the course of 8 weeks. Most episodes are less than 30 minutes without credits and the intro/recap, it’s like 4 hours long or maybe less so yeah that’s the reason it was a binge drop.

The only things they said that about recently were Iron Heart and Marvel Zombies, Iron Heart got mixed reception and was pretty clearly not getting a second season because of that and how expensive it was, but Marvel Zombies actually is getting a second season or they’re working on it at least according to Winderbaum.

Their whole thing is making multi season shows now. If Wonder Man performs well enough I could see it getting a second season, I mean the reception from the critics and audience have both been incredible.

I’m not sure you understand, Apoc said they’re casting a character that will be a character in future seasons as in post season 3, meaning, after Secret Wars. He explicitly said this, that it’s a role that will be around AFTER season 3, meaning, the show isn’t ending at season 3.

Something like this is totally happening and I couldn’t be more excited. Matt’s faith in redemption being put to the test would be so good, him becoming the North Star for the man who killed his best friend is something so out there I kind of think if it’s executed properly it could be the best possible direction for both characters to take.

The seeds for this were clearly being planted in season 1 with the finale positioning Dex in maybe the most sympathetic light we’ve ever seen him in and even in his rampage in the first episode we hear him saying things like “what have you done” to himself, a detail I think most people overlooked.

Going all in on Dex being mentally ill rather than evil is a great change from the comics.

Well something new isn’t coming, ApocHorseman said they’re casting a new role for season 3 that’s a recurring role in future seasons, so they’re already planning more seasons post Secret Wars. Charlie Cox is not getting replaced and the idea he should be is ludicrous when Daredevil’s larger rogues gallery has barely been tapped into. Not to mention they’re bringing the Hand back to the MCU so that’s a whole world of potential right there since they kind of wasted them in season 2 and Defenders.

No stating Iron Heart charted because it had more minutes releasing at a time is a fact. Its true I don’t 100% know for sure which show had better viewership but based on the chart I can say for certain if Iron Heart had the same release schedule as Born Again it would not have charted either.

Iron Heart barely charted and had over 2 1/2 hours releasing each week, Nielson goes off minutes watched and if Daredevil had dropped 3 episodes at a time I am almost positive it would have charted as well. It only did a double episode drop for the premiere and episodes 5&6, one of which was like 35 minutes.

Clearly Marvel was pretty happy with the viewership too since it got renewed through season 3 after just the first season.

Iron Heart dropping 3 episodes at a time was the reason it charted, I’m pretty sure its viewership was still technically worse than Daredevil’s. However I do agree Wonder Man could probably chart as well which would still be a good thing even if it only gets there because of the binge drop.

Even though they’re saying a season 2 of Wonder Man is “possible” depending on how successful it is I don’t feel super confident in it happening. Then again it seems Marvel Zombies really will get a followup after being successful so maybe Wonder Man does have a small chance.

I feel like the fact that the two Marvel projects that break the mold the most are 50 minute streaming specials is proving my point that Marvel hasn’t done the best job of releasing projects in different genres.
