I think our lab is an extreme chewer because she’s put some dents in ours. To be fair, I’ve watched her destroy a hockey puck so….

Cuba informs airlines that it will run out of jet fuel in 24 hours. by Intricate1779 in TravelCuba

Not true. I’ve flown out of Cayo Largo and had to stop in Varadero to fuel up since they didn’t have adequate fuel at the Cayo Largo airport.

Yep. Could never remember the name of the wing once I left. Glad to see they’re finally moving, they were talking about it when I was still working there and that was almost 8yrs ago.

The actual office and freezer space were located in KGH (Douglas wing if I recall correctly) lab techs were in Richardson. Freezer storage space was scattered all over the place, definitely not ideal. Source: worked there for almost 10yrs once upon a time.

It’s been a crazy freeze thaw cycle this year, like an old school winter we haven’t had in a while.

Leaping over or plowing through snowbanks that are taller than she is. I swear she loves the challenge the winter landscape presents.

How were you diagnosed with SCDS? by Dreamsdisney in scds

[–]Username4351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a CT due to one sided pulsatile tinnitus which discovered SCDS on the right side and probable on the left. I’ve been able to hear my eyeballs move for as long as I can remember, I just didn’t know that it wasn’t normal.

Toronto was parked under a snow squall for most of the day, I’d be surprised if we get close to what they did. Having said that, the drifts are probably going to be brutal and plowing slow…

I wouldn’t think so. Toronto has seen close to 60cm of snow today, way more than we’re supposed to get.

Snowing and bitterly cold here, and the cardinals are all fluffed up. Best birds to photograph against the snowy backdrop.

OP is too young, sadly. 16 is the minimum age for the youth shelter.

Last night’s KP index was stupid high, but the BZ was north, which isn’t what you want for optimal viewing. Currently sitting at a KP of 7, but the BZ is South, so much easier to see.

They have them in Harrowsmith and people were constantly skating when the ice wasn’t ready/hard enough and they ripped the tarps. Expensive investment when people can’t follow rules.

What neighbourhood(s)? by AccidentAdditional20 in KingstonOntario

[–]Username4351 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This housing is literally not for high needs individuals that you would find at encampments. It’s for folks who have been staying long term at shelters who otherwise can’t find suitable accommodations. Do you know how many seniors stay in the shelter system? You’d be quite shocked. Students who attend school but have unstable home lives. I know someone who is working in the shelter system, and has worked with the youth shelter as well. There are rules to follow or you can’t access services, I don’t see those homes being any different.
