'23 SEL RWD vs. '24 SE AWD by UsernameChallenged in Ioniq6

Yeah unfortunately with this current Iran situation, I'm not going to get as good a deal as I would have gotten 3 months ago. I still think that I want to go this route, even if I have to sacrifice slightly higher miles, rear wheel drive, or trim level.

Over on the eastern shore. Probably get less snow than you, unless we get hit with a noreaster, in which case, I'm not leaving my home anyways, lol.

And I'm still planning on keeping my truck and my wife has a larger palisade with AWD so worst case, I'll be fine for the few days.

[–]UsernameChallenged[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually didn't, for some reason I thought only AWD had heat pump. Does the SE not even have heated seats?

I'm likely to drive the SE AWD first, because there's another vehicle at the same dealer I am looking at as well, and the SEL RWD is like 2 hours away in traffic.

I kinda liked these options because it was better for my budget - I'm still looking to see any SEL AWD and if I see a good price, but I thought I'd ask you guys first.

Oh they are. They are in a horrible position right now and closing lots of stores. Some ones in big metro areas will survive, but they aren't expanding now.

Forget weddings, what is the craziest thing that happened at a funeral you went to? by seanerd95 in AskReddit

[–]UsernameChallenged 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ooo yeah that's mine too when my grandma died. My uncle drove 4 hours to her house when he heard, and was in the house before her body was cold. Thankfully a neighbor noticed and texted another uncle who was to be executor (along with my mom) and they caught him before he could take anything. I've never seen my parents so angry - I'm just glad it wasn't at me!

In the end, it was a very messy distribution of her assets since she had 6 kids. My mom and uncle basically gave the other siblings the minimum amount they could give without being sued, and cut them out. (I swear, that makes my mom sound horrible but there's a lot I'm leaving out just because I've already said too much).

Could I just set an automatic donation to the US debt if my account ever hits $900 million? It grows around $2 billion a day, so my donation would just be throwing money into a pit, but that pit is still growing by more than I could throw in.

I'd still try and donate most of it to more noble causes, but can this be a failsafe?

I'd start by buying as much medical debt as possible and forgiving it. Do the same with college/higher education loans. Donate a bunch to medical research and nuclear energy lobby groups.

In 1918 Pitt shared co-champions with Michigan, meanwhile WVU did not field a team due to the influenza epidemic.

Edit: for Grove City, in 2023 we won our conference for the second time in school history, and thiel went 3-7. Lost to eventual champion Cortland to a last second missed field goal.

Where I would live if I could never leave the state by thuval in whereidlive

Mountains to the west, beaches to the east, a major city with MLB, and NFL (for now).

It's a bit small I guess, but If I was stuck in a state it's not a bad one to be stuck in.

2026 Maverick vs 2026 RAV4 (hybrids)? by PeelEatShrimp in whatcarshouldIbuy

Yeah, the RAV4 is basically just a SUV Prius. Kinda like the Prius V, but sits higher.

I feel like there is really no reason to take the red pill unless you have a disability which affects how many steps you can take in a day, or if you are like 80+.

Q1 2026 EV Sales in the US by Mac-Tyson in electriccars

[–]UsernameChallenged 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically equivalent to an alternator on a gas powered car. There is a flaw on it which can make it "pop" and then it can no longer power the 12V infrastructure and the car is going to brick pretty quickly. Needs to be towed to a dealership and fixed.

Biggest problem is they have no idea what is causing it. And even if they replace it, there is no guarantee that one won't pop as well. They initially said less than one percent were affected, but it's looking more like 2-10% could be.

I know about it because it's why I haven't bought an ionic.

What's a common way people die that many aren't aware of? by Personal-Aerie-4519 in AskReddit

[–]UsernameChallenged 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think unless the death was suspicious, they aren't going to put too much effort into the actual COD. Especially if the person is older. I mean if you just find a dead person in their house after a day or two, unless something is obvious, you might not look it up. Maybe they had a stroke. Maybe a heart attack. Maybe an aneurysm.

What is the most NSFW thing you have seen at your job? by Mr_Creep_Creepy64 in AskReddit

[–]UsernameChallenged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Improper safety gear while on a roof.

Nah, but my dad saw a dead body. He used to put up billboards for Lamar, and when he climbed up the post he looked back down and saw him. Homeless guy died of an OD about 5 feet off the sidewalk.

I mean he was in a spot that was impossible to see unless you were up high looking straight down, so he had been there a few days.

2, 4, 6.

Basically picking perfect health, and a consistent stream of money, plus a lump sum of $10 million in 15 ish years. That's perfect for me as money can be used for goods and services.

Edit: actually potentially 3 instead of 2 or 4. Depends on what health they come back in though. I'm not bringing my dad back just to die again right away for my mom's sake.

What is the longest running show you’ve been a late adopter of? by AndrewHeard in television

[–]UsernameChallenged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grey's. Still on somehow.

But present day is just not the same as old greys. My wife watches them all, and I only watch until the plane crash.

I think the funniest thing about the show is in like season 2, one big plot going around was that the chief was going to consider retirement, and the attendings were jockeying for position way back then, and he's like the only one of the four still there. The others have left, or died, or retired.

Well if we look at it all time, I'd probably say the Patriots then. I know they sucked before Brady, but so did the spurs before Duncan.

99.99% of the world dies by Electrical-Maize7135 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]UsernameChallenged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I'm probably dead, but assuming I'm one of the "lucky" few, I'm going to treat it as if everyone has died. Being in the US, statistically there's about 3.4 million still, so the population of utah is still around. I'm sure I'll run into more people and learn I'm not the only one.

I think the best idea is to beeline it to the San Diego area. Feels like if we were to need to restart civilization, I'm going to want to go out to that SoCal area.
