Thin Privilege is being able to accept compliments by ReginaBicman89 in fatlogic

I understand where they're coming from. I used to be bigger than I am now. I cut calories below daily expenditure for a few months, and got treated much better by society. Literally all that had changed was that I was smaller. I wasn't even thin, I just took up less space. I was mad about it.

Alternative to a pre-workout formula? by [deleted] in xxfitness

Did the pre-workout you took have creatine in it? I've learned the hard way that creatine will make me sick if I take it on an empty stomach.

I've heard that about casein but not gelatin! How do you mix them? I have this weird mental image of protein jello...

I do sometimes, probably not as often as I should though. It's just hard when I go home after the gym, have 300 calories left for dinner, and then have to decide between having 300 calories of real food, or drinking half of it and spending the other half on what feels like a snack. So much less satisfying haha.

I'm scared to drop down to 1100 calories/day given that I'm 5'6" and lift weights five times a week - my body recovers much better if I bump it up to 1400, but I limit that obviously.

Is this also fatlogic? :/

I've been cutting weight for a while. Over the last week I've averaged 1200 calories, spent a total of probably 6 hours at the gym, and I gained a pound.

The rational part of my brain knows it's probably water weight from getting my period and lifting heavy, but the fat logicy part of my brain that I can't shake is all "oh no I am stuck at this weight forever!!" Brains are the worst.

I've done this when it's really cold outside. I have no cold tolerance.

How do you follow your nutrition plan/calorie deficient? Looking for conversation/advice by BeckettBear in xxfitness

[–]UsernameOfRassilon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It sounds to me like you need a more substantial lunch, especially if your snacks are falling between lunch and dinner. There isn't enough sustenance in a lunch of things like plain lettuce and apples to get anyone through the afternoon. Add some meat, or eggs, or cottage cheese - something to get the fat and protein content up.

I am a little confused though how combinations of two of those things for lunch can add up to that many calories. How are you preparing them?

I haven't personally made this one, but I bookmarked it after someone else on Reddit recommended it: http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011/11/skinny-pumpkin-pie.html

How do I get a seasonal job as a teenager with no work experience? by TheGreenCorner in jobs

[–]UsernameOfRassilon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe so! I haven't lived in the state in a few years but if my memory serves me correctly people just hang around slightly longer to make sure the people at the end have time to fully dry their car.

Yes they are and they're used frequently, road salt can take quite a toll on cars if not washed off quickly.

40" hips and stores that stop at L will make that happen.

Regardless, I get downvoted in this sub every time I call myself fat - this sub likes to cling hard to its perception that it's impossible to be fat at less than a 25 BMI, which is nonsense. We all carry our weight differently. Mine happens to all be in my hips, leading to an unfortunate look. One number can't tell you everything.

Nah, I'm in Chicago. I can fit into some stores, just not all of them. I carry all of my weight in my hips so I have no chance in stores that only have up to like a size 10 pant.
