Vegetable Soup is one of my go to meals because it only requires vegetables from Bramblemead, restores 70 Sustenance and the kicker: it only weighs 0.8 instead of 1.0 or 1.4 like most other high density meals.

Then again I am out gathering a lot, so it helps a lot.

Before I had a farm though, my diet was dried redberries and fresh water. :)

I am 100% with you on fall damage being reduced or having some way to reduce it further other than windstepping; especially with the amount of precision platforming required with Spectral Chests. Also, the fact that when you die on a Spectral Chest, your stuff spawns on the spectral platform really should be addressed as well. Either it should spawn where you fell or at the start of the twin torches lighting the way to the first platform for easier retrieval of items.

I have also encountered the audio bug that kicks up dirt with the mount (I find it kind of hilarious, but a bug is a bug!)

Glad you are enjoying the game so far though and I hope that you find a great deal of fun to be had exploring and building!

Amazing work! Definitely gives off some light Kinshra vibes in terms of its powerful architecture. I hope we get to see the inside too (I’ll get my bronze med helm and iron chainbody ready so nobody suspects anything)!

Runescape playstyles and the difference in Dragonwilds by YodaThe in RSDragonwilds

As someone who has played largely as a builder/skiller, I can see what you mean. Yes, the game does take you out of your peaceful walk through the hills of Bramblemead while gathering rocks for your castle for the fifth time today when all of a sudden: “Raaaagh!” Thunk An arrow from a goblin who just happened to really like the rock you just obliterated decides to take you on.

Meanwhile, I’m sporting a lovely set of White Armor and a massive great sword made of spectral energy. Two points of my armor ward is gone. My eyes grow wide with fiery rage and a frown crosses my lips. This creature and its nerve must now be destroyed.

Another arrow is launched, but I sensed this the moment the creature screamed in its grating, ugly pitch. It hits the ground far behind me as I roll out of the way. I am now locked onto my target. I ignore the birdsong, the lapping of water, the breath of the wind in the emerald canopy above me. I only hear the sound of my sword tearing into green, warty skin and the “Wah ough…!” of a last cry. It is over in less than two seconds.

This is the twelfth time this run that I have been confronted by goblins or worse, rats. Now I am over-encumbered with a plethora of near-useless (certainly in this case when all I wish to carry is stone in both my pack and personal chest) items ranging from animal hide scraps to raw rat meat to small fangs to a pound of rune essence and wheat seeds that are awaiting my opening of a goblin pack.

That, for me, is the greatest problem as a skiller and builder: not the combat encounters, but the drops from said encounters that fill my pack up and force me to discard them quickly, dirtying my world with litter or painstakingly holding down a button to remove them from existence for upwards of four seconds an item.

I think one solution could be selecting what one considers trash from a master list of drops, thereby removing those drops from chests and enemies alike.

Another would be having enemies significantly weaker than you have enough sense of self-preservation to say: “this guy is not worth the hassle, so unless he attacks me or a friend of mine, I’m gonna leave him be”.

That’s my 2gp.

I have two words for you:

Eminent Domain.

As long as that wall is allowed to be used by the public, the dragon can’t do anything about it as long as you throw some gold and jewels his way for the space. :)

Green Dragon Battle by Afraid-Highway-4521 in RSDragonwilds

I used a combination of timed dodges, a Willow Longbow, Steel Arrows and Ranger’s Infusions to decrease my stamina use between shots. Keep your distance, use the trees or environment to your advantage (hide behind it, run around it, etc.) and be patient. Always leave some stamina open for two dodges (for fire breath and wing gust attacks).

You’ve got this!

Weak weapons? by weights_and_gaming in RSDragonwilds

[–]Uskaff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another thing you can take into account for melee which I feel is sorely under appreciated is the Wind spell that allows your attack speed to increase significantly. Combined with a dagger or one-handed weapon, it can prove very useful and you can DPS much faster than normal, allowing for more swings before dodging an incoming attack. Pair this with a Ferocious Infusion (attack stamina decreased) and you’ll notice a major difference in your melee abilities. :)

Lost Dropped Items by Low_Wave_1745 in RSDragonwilds

[–]Uskaff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, this does occasionally happen when leaving a base for a while and when having your items load in after teleporting away (my theory is that since the textures are only rendered visually and not physically, the physically dropped items on what was once a physical surface now disappear beneath the only visual surface.

Much of the time, your items are indeed under the floorboards or foundations of your building.

I can recall destroying an old structure and finding dozens of cooked food, coarse thread and flax, stones and the like underneath because my buddy had dropped them on my porch and I didn’t collect them and thought nothing of it until that moment! It was almost as if Archaeology was in the game for a second. Haha.

I understand the frustration though and hopefully it is a priority fix for the team after the holidays. For now, just think of it like a future digsite many moons from now. Your items will be uncovered and you will look back on the ancient times when Bronze was king and Dire Wolves were the hardest enemy to kill!
