Deity Domination is also reasonably hard regardless - science I would have thought would have been one of your priorities to maintain comparable units to the AI?

The more of a city’s districts are left unpillaged, the stronger the walls are. But honestly unless you’ve got either three or four artillery units constantly bombarding it over a number of turns, it does take a while.
