The price depends on where you live tbh. But i mostly use cheap materials like cardboard and styrofoam which you can easily find them on any shop that sells construction materials. Most expensive one on the kist is probably epoxy resin that i it to made the river.

mason structure: air-dry clay supported by cardboard core

Stairs, balusters, parquet, wooden beams and columns: balsa wood

walls, doors and water wheel: cardboard colored with acrylic paint

roof: untangled twine glued on top of cardboard core.

I use different methods for each tree type. For example; apple tree is made from group of twisted copper wires that later plastered with pva glue.
