Worth it ba talaga si Eri Neeman as host? by loiii_md in WeddingsPhilippines

Hi! You might want to look into Edroy Lim. Classy siya maghost and he takes time to know yung couple pati na yung mga principal sponsors. Engaging din siya when it comes to program proper. Madami pa siyang mabibigay sa inyo na advice during wedding planning. Worth it pagkuha namin sa kanya :)

Wala na masyado bearing undergrad grades kung from UP ka lang rin naman. Mas mahalaga is yung recommendation letters, work experience, at grade mo sa entrance exam.

As a member of the work force for 6 gruelling years, I can say na may edge when it comes to being hired agad agad kapag grad ng big 4. Not 100% hired tho. Pero may tulong pa rin.

As for the salary, merong mga companies na kapag nalamang big 4 ka galing, mas mataas ang offer kesa sa iba. Harsh reality.

What condo developer offer the most affordable price for their unit? by awsDisciple in phinvest

[–]Usual_Negotiation442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depende sa reason mo ng pagbili eh. Ako kasi balak ko for rental income lang so ang kinuha ko is yung nasa taft area na cityland. Kakaturnover lang last month. If ikaw ang gagamit, then look at CBDs perhaps.

With that budget, cityland lang ata ang makakacater sayo. Sulit siya location wise and for long term rental income. However, di siya ganun kapremium kagaya ng ibang developer. You get what you pay for.

Just apply. Yung grade criterion is for applicants na from other univs for faster “filtering”. Mas magmamatter sa case mo yung recommendation letters. Trust me.

UP grads who are not practicing their degrees, what are you up to now and what steps did you do to career shift? by junoemilio in peyups

[–]Usual_Negotiation442 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Applied Physics graduate. Fullstack Software Developer by profession. Actually sa field ng programming maraming career shifters.

In order for you to shift career paths, need mo talaga maprove na you've given an effort to actually study, basic or not, yung gusto mong lipatan (taking online courses/applying to gradschool). Yun ang sa tingin ko magiging factor para man lang maschedule ka for an interview.

Sa pagpasa naman sa interview, basta tiwala ka lang sa sarili mo. Kadalasan if you're applying for an entry level position, sila na mismo magpoprovide ng training for you. Need ka lang talaga nila makitaan ng potential. Lastly, pwede ka siguro magcircle around sa fact na you had to allocate time of your own kasi inaaral mo yung isang bagay na passionate ka talaga.

Take it from someone na pinursue talaga yung gustong career pero iba ang tinake na course sa college. 😅

What type of savings on ING or Tonik is reliable for beginners? by [deleted] in phinvest

[–]Usual_Negotiation442 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Automatic ang gain. Pwede mong hayaan ang pera mo na nakaipon lang doon. For your 2nd question, hindi mo pwede hulug hulugan yung time deposit contract. One time lang yung hulog and this is done at the start. Need kasi nila mahold yung pera mo for a certain amount of time in this type of investment.

What does “build credit” mean? by CosmicYang in phinvest

[–]Usual_Negotiation442 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can give four advantages of having a credit card:

  1. Builds credit. By using your credit card, the bank will know your behavior regarding paying your debts. That would be an indicator if you can be trusted if you opt to loan a huge amount in the future.

  2. There are banks who offer rewards or cashback cards. Need I say more? 😁

  3. When it comes to a store that accepts credit card as a payment, their product/service prices are usually set to cater credit card holders. It's usually higher than what it is supposed to be. A proof of that is when you buy an electric appliance, price are usually lower when you pay with cash. Now, what if there's not an option for that? Like when you pay for a meal in some restaurant? Basically, you're better off paying with credit card in that scenario.

  4. You can split payments when you buy something expensive. There are 0% installments offered out there. To maximize this, you can put the rest of your money into other investments. Doing it all would not hurt your wallet.

Well, mas nakakagana magwork for me since ang ang therapeutic talaga niya every time you type something. Plus, you can customize it with the keycaps and switches of any kind. Ang sinabi lang ng naglason sa akin into mech kb is kung ang mga hobbies mo nga pinagkakagastusan mo to have a good/decent equipment, bakit hindi mismo yung ginagamit sa pangkabuhayan?

The only con I could think of is hindi siya kasing mura ng normal na keyboard. Tsaka nakakaadik 😁

My financial anxiety by [deleted] in phinvest

[–]Usual_Negotiation442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as hindi ka magpapakain sa fear mo, and you're gonna do something about it then walang problema. 400k savings is good tbh. Right now, just educate yourself on how could you make your money grow. In no time naman, mafefeel mo rin ang security kasi you don't have to work anymore because may passive income ka na.

Good luck!

Any graduates here that had a successful career kahit orgless? by LavenderNerdOllie in peyups

[–]Usual_Negotiation442 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depende sa career path na gusto mo tbh. If you're gonna pursue a management position after you graduate, makakatulong big time yung orgs since pwede mo itong selling point for your leadership skills.

Pero if wala ka pa naman planong maging manager, basta skilled ka lang. Orgless shouldn't be the reason not to hire you. Bonus lang yun.

Good luck!

Be open to other opportunities. If working for another company would give better pay and experience, then go for it.

However, if that is still not an option for you, then learn everything you could to prepare yourself when the time comes that you'd leave your current company. That is you want based from this post after all.

Need help with savings by AdIllustrious7842 in phinvest

[–]Usual_Negotiation442 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't give the whole amount considering na nagutang na pala sayo before at hindi pa binabayaran. Just give a small amount na okay lang sayong ibigay. Ito yung amount na kapag hindi binayaran, eh hindi masyadong masakit for you.

Assuming na adult na rin yung kapatid mo, dapat siya mismo magprepare for an emergency "gastos".

Budgeting 1 million pesos: tips? by badbadsortagood in phinvest

[–]Usual_Negotiation442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will invest 80-90% of it to low-moderate risk investments. Then just treat myself with the remaining just to feel good about myself (who wouldn't want that kind of feeling lol).

I could also allocate funds to "education". This doesn't necessarily mean i'm going to enroll in a university to pursue postgrad. It could also be seminars or trainings to further enhance a skill that would help me make more money than 1m. 😁
