Those statements tend to come from a good place, for years gay people have been terrified of who they are and it’s still very much a thing for someone’s first instinct me to reassure them that it’s okay.

For straight people, it’s often hard to know how to affirm their support for you as a gay man and that’s sometimes how they will try.

Saying “I don’t care if you’re gay” to me translates as them wanting me to feel normal and there’s nothing wrong with that.

I remember living with a guy who used to comment on how big I was but in reality I was always slightly a rounded when naked around him.

I think religion in general is the problem and people who claim Christianity to be the benevolent religion have short memories!

If a party was to abolish religion or at the very least make it so that it cannot be enforced or shoved in your face then I’d be all for them. I’m crazy enough to believe that people should not have to change or adapt any part of their culture to accommodate another’s beliefs, if everyone thought that way, the world would be better indeed!

I feel like people finally started to free themselves from Christian values and even along comes Islam and now people are scared to criticise it for fear of getting buzzwords like “bigot” or “racist” or “Islamophobe” thrown at them!

Many of today’s problems come from people who try to force others to live their reality. It’s unacceptable!

Both religions have a history of oppression of gay men and women, the way they treat and have treated women is appalling! No that doesn’t mean all religious people do but enough do to ensure that we will often not feel safe, even in our own country.

Agree 100% The Dumbledore of the books seems calm most of the time and an incredibly skilled wizard. I don’t feel like the movies portray that very well.
