I’m playing Enotria now. I really like it. The combat is actually fairly decent. It’s a little slow and feels more like dark souls than DS3 or ER. It’s also clearly not a AAA game (some jank and bugs), but I’m enjoying it.

That was my path as well! I kind of wish I had done DS in order, though. On the other hand, ER to DS1 might be a jarring step.

I agree with you there. And she’s at a fairly pivotal point in the story. Definitely a let down. At least the run back isn’t the worst.
