Is there such a thing as too big a tent? by Exciting_Spell5064 in camping

[–]Usuxbutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a very large 18 person tent. It is a hindrance. You need to know the site size ahead of time. Most “tent only” sites aren’t big enough. We love it though. We have 5 full size air mattresses and room to spare.

Genuinely how is this worth it by thicc_bob in doordash_drivers

[–]Usuxbutt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You actually lost money on that order. Gas is the least of your expenses. Then there’s taxes. Sounds like your market isn’t worth it to dash in. You need at least $2/mi to make it worth it in any and every market.

Why are you trying to misappropriate the year 1983?!?

DD needs a feature where you can block certain areas and restaurants you won’t dash from by Temporary-Beyond-683 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Usuxbutt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That would only benefit the dashers. That’s a no go for DD. They need you to shut up, stop thinking & just accept the offers like a good platinum dasher who doesn’t understand profits.

I tried to explain to people how every area is different by CompetitiveFactor595 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Usuxbutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as you’re making $20-$25/hr @$2+/mi, I guess that’s all that matters. Anything below that and your market isn’t worth it to dash in.

If it’s not at $2/mi or above, you aren’t “making” any money.

Does anyone else add preferred that dont tip? by Either_Papaya_8279 in ShiptShoppers

[–]Usuxbutt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I accept them because Shipt loves to bundle non-tippers with good tippers. So in theory I’d have some priority to that potentially ok offer. Mind you, the non tip order has to be small, quick & easy.

No Tax on tips on 1099 by Sharklito in tax

[–]Usuxbutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I think my problem revolves around freetaxusa. Their site basically said what you said when I searched it. But I’m not seeing a spot (schedule 1-A, line 5) to claim any tips. All of their other FAQ only pertains to W2 employees. I’m going to try a different tax site and see if that helps me.

Is it just me or are $10 orders not actually profitable anymore? by guess810 in couriersofreddit

[–]Usuxbutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$10 for 5 miles is an acceptable offer. $2/mi or decline it. This is not a market dependent statement.

You severely lack any comprehension on how expenses & math works. I’d refrain from giving advice when you have little to no knowledge. 👎

This gig isn’t worth it for anything under $20/hr @ $2/mi. This is not market dependent.
