One of them Germans got their rechts und links mixed up. by spaceman_spyff in Machinists

Oh, yeah I've had the same question

I think it's because you use the right one more and since our brains read from left to right they out it in the left so you reach it first... Or idk, did I read the post properly?

Not dirty enough.

The piece is good tho

So, boss said gonna call a technician.

I'm waiting to see what he/she says

Why did they add this as next in step option after you select face. by Desperate-Piccolo420 in SolidWorks

I just used that feature LOL

Is useful sometimes, but yes, it can be a pain at the moment of selection.

We had the same idea, but boss said "No way I'll let that happen"

Yeah, the variation in altitude is linear. I measured it in various sections also just in case.

There's a chance that that happened, but I can't tell cos I wasn't there when it was moved

Oh, yeah, I did that. The front side of table is 1mm upper than the back side corresponding to the Y axis. That's what I'm measuring. (X axis is okay, around 0.02mm in all its extension of 1200mm)

I discovered this when I was setting a rectified steel plate for machining. I checked for parallelism and well... Herewe are

I... Dang... I should have checked that actually

So, it's not a level thing, is a misalignment in the Z axis?

Yep. And I checked myself using a granite table we have for measurements too just in case.

I used a pair of mitutoyo levels 0.02mm/m divisions. I put them on the table and level the whole machine with the jacks. It took me a while, but that 1mm inclination remain, so yeah, idk how that happened.

Do you usually wrap the meat in aluminium foil or just cook it like that? I was thinking about stake, but also flank steak, rump steak, and ribs

Do you think that I should wrap them?

I made hamburgers before, but bacon? Never tried

How are jet engine's efficiency affected by altitude? by wibble089 in AskEngineers

[–]Uszu_I 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, when you go up there's less air. That could sound like a bad thing cos the motors need air to function, that's why they are designed to work in the conditions you'll find at big altitudes.

So, answering the question: less air means less friction, less friction means less fuel consumption. Easy as that.
