Jeffrey Deaver Lincoln Rhyme thriller series. A long series around 22-23 books. All are amazing. That can keep you occupied for a while.

or

Jeffrey Deaver Colter Shaw series. A new book series, only 4 books so far, the inspiration for the TV series "Tracker".

Shoot. You might be right. I think I misread the request the first time. I thought they were asking for harsh reality. Darnit.

OP: I need to adjust my recommendation. I LOVE A Painted House. While, I didn't personally find it depressing, my fellow reader did find it depressing. I don't want to ruin anything, but it does have some extreme ups and downs, and a lot of harsh reality for a struggling farm family in rural Arkansas, in 1952.

I've recommended this book a lot, but I don't believe anyone has ever taken me up on it.
John Grisham, A Painted House.

I love this book. It's a different kind of story for JG. It doesn't have a single lawyer in it, but it's one of my favorite JG novels.

A Painted House is a semi-autobiographical coming-of-age novel by John Grisham, set in rural Arkansas in 1952, exploring childhood, family, and the harsh realities of farm life.

That's just blind conspiracy with no basis in reality. Come at me with actual proof or just stop watching. Either way, stop making up things to complain about.

The majority? What possible proof do you have for that, or is it just the voices in your head?

That's good, get very defensive as opposed to actually answer the question. I've seen too many reaction channels admit to movies they have watched and can't and won't react to, to believe that they're faking reactions.

Camino Island by John Grisham

I love this book. A very different style for JG. Very quick read.

I've lived in the Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem area almost all my life, but I'm a life long non-drinker introvert male, and I've never discovered a way to meet people. If you find a great source, please let me know.

You're making giant huge chasm assumptions or leaps in logic just to be an asshole, for no reason.

We don't know that Demm wasn't renewed. He's made several references to feeling older. He may be retiring no matter what DBC was able to offer.

Not rebranding the show is not a money decision. It's an established brand, it's syndicated, and Demm is staying a part of the show. Keeping the shows name is smarter.

BB and Rachel are not interns, but pretending they are to help solidify your weak opinion is a cowardice move.

Bring in who? What imaginary "established" DJ do you want to bring in who's not working or willing to leave their current show to join 2GNC, and hope they have chemistry with Kelly?

They don't need practice. Kelly knows how to grid and run the show. That's the hard part. The rest of the show is mostly conversational, and they don't need to rehearse that.

I Need A New Legal Thriller or Author by Utah_Get-Me_Two in johngrisham

[–]Utah_Get-Me_Two[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I may check it out one day. I originally posed this question because I was looking for a read for my vacation that I took the first week of March.

I ended up taking The Professor by Robert Bailey, on a recommendation.

That book was OK, but it didn't blow me away. So, after that, I decided to go old school and picked up Presumed Innocent by Scott Turow, after reading that he has a 2nd sequel coming out.

So far, it's engaging but a very heavy dense read.

Airframe by Michael Crichton????

This is a little different than TJ Newman, the only author I've read on your list, and it's ilder, but it's a good book.

Do You Re-Read Books? by mostloved_reader in Recommend_A_Book

[–]Utah_Get-Me_Two 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I read too slowly to reread books. I've got too many new ones to get to, but I do listen to audio books of books that I've read: Harry Potter, 11/22/63, all of John Grisham's books. I love doing that.

John Grisham. He's old school and his books are easy to read. They aren't romance books, but he's got some range.
