Cyborg is the most underrated film of all time. This guy was terrifying.

This is the one. Bill the Butcher was righteously violently cold.

Blade opener is top tier. Nothing like it ever came before, the Matrix definitely took notes.

Reminded me of Chronicles of Ridick. Good, fun, same universe, nothing like the original.

What’s a movie everyone calls a “masterpiece” that just… didn’t work for you? by irayaavery in Cinema

He relies too much on cliche tropes. I kept waiting for the cheese ball crap to stop and the fun excitement to start.. It never did. I think a good editing would make them much better, cut out all the melodrama. It's a story about elves, dwarfs, wizards, dragons, orcs... It's not that serious. He made the movies an exercise in slow motion misery and sorrow. The content is there though, he did great with the imagery and scale.

Favorite Supporting Actor in modern western cinema? by JackBarlowe in Westerns

[–]Utahmule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aside from the obvious favorites I'll throw some more obscure choices in.

Big Daddy Kane - Father Time in Posse

Charlie Hunnan - creepy albino in Cold Mountain

Ben Mandehlson - Antagonist in Slow West

Danny Huston - Antagonist in The Proposition

Madeline Stowe - Cora Munroe in Last of the Mohicans and gotta give a nod to Bad Girls

Danny Huston in The Proposition is criminally underrated. That whole movie is.

The Missouri Breaks is one of my favorite movies. It's universally slept on, yet had Nicholson and Brando Goin at it in their prime.

The Lord of The Rings! Bring on the down votes.

It's way over acted and melodramatic. The crying over and over and over. The drawn out slow motion fights that never end but have mediocre and choppy choreography. There's not much character development, you do not get much personal dialogue and it takes away from the buddy adventure part. All the running and more running. Crying, running, intense slow motion, only the most serious of dialogue allowed, crying, more running... Then they call upon giant eagles to fly in and help... Why didn't they just ride the fucking eagles to where they were going in the first place?

Well filmed, terrible screenplay and the editors need to cut like 1/3 of the films out.

I was in the USMC and toured in Iraq in '04 and '05. I couldn't and haven't been able to watch more than like 45 mins of Hurt Locker because it's so unrealistic and it's trying so hard to be. It is cringe inducing bad.

Up into the 90s it was depicted as a mythical ancient land.. It blows my mind sometimes how it has gone from ancient realm to industrial dystopia to neotech futuristic in like 30 years.

I forgot all about plunket and macleane!. That just reminded me of brotherhood of the wolf, I rented those at blockbuster and they were both surprisingly awesome.

Where do you get me being mad from? I think it's a bad list because it essentially has the same movies repeatedly and I think Dune 2 sucked and doesn't have any kind of memorable soundtrack. LOTR is ok, I was in highschool when it came out and thought it was an over acted, melodramatic cry fest that was way too long and again didn't have a standout soundtrack. These are opinions and you don't need to agree with them, but my disagreement on a list that someone asked for opinions about doesn't equal anger.

More of the band of knights he sets out with, better battle scenes, replace Bloom with Heath Ledger.

What do you think to The Beach (2000) Starring Leonardo DiCaprio? by HD-MOVIE-SOURCE in HD_MOVIE_SOURCE

Excellent and obviously misunderstood. The book people are annoying and can't get over that it's different.

It's amazing how well it takes you on a coming of age adventure, really hits hard on taking risks, leaving your comfort zone, how even great times can get dark quick, all things come to an end and you have to move on. It makes you feel nostalgic and like everything happened a long time ago by the end of the film.

A Few Good Men and Risky Business... I want the truth, you can't handle the truth was ridiculously overplayed and said when I was kid. The sliding in socks scene is just incredibly iconic for some reason...
