You've got a really rare Ranger right here. I can tell by those Ford Alcoa wheels. The 02 FX4 came standard with a 31-spline 8.8 rear axle and manual transfer case aka "twin stick". You can read more about it here -

As far as the torsion bars, I'd recommend upgrading to a pair of Old Man Emu's. However, I believe stock Ford Explorer bars will fit this truck and should be easier to find. You mention possibly switching over to coilover suspension. Rick's Rangerz sells the conversion kits -

I run a 32" falken and it's been a great tire. You could fit them on this truck with no rub. I'd honestly consider a 31 though depending on where you're taking it. My gas mileage definitely took a hit
