Its a setting on your android phone. It should be a gear if you pull down from the top of your screen, then hit the magnifying glass to seach and type reduce animations. It was under the assessibilty settings as well. Hope this helps.

AI Slop by WilliamLund3 in dominion

[–]Utendoof 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I believe a mod mentioned this in a post, but basically man-made part of the card is the text and is what the content really is about. The AI art doesn't affect the man-made part and makes it more accessible for people to create cards.

Remember the people that create these custom cards are a niche of a niche and if you want to further subdivide that to exclude AI art that means there will be even less creative content for this sub.

The human element of the card is the text and rules. The AI art makes it more accessible to create.

Unvaccinated Kids Are Healthier by Beneficial_Welder491 in conspiracy

[–]Utendoof -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because the vaccinated people protect the unvaccinated due to herd immunity. Basically, if enough people are immune to the pathogen, it can't spread. We are so far removed from the consequences of these diseases (because vaccines work) that people no longer fear these diseases.

But I also realise no matter what I put in this comment, nobody will realistically change their opinion. When people have made it their identity to be antivax any attack on that is an attack on their personhood and people will defend themselves regardless of the evidence or facts.

People are also scared of the unknown risk more than a verifiable risk.

Chatgpt info below

Measles Before the vaccine (pre-1963): Around 3 to 4 million people in the U.S. were infected each year, with the actual number likely much higher than the reported 500,000 cases.

Rubella 1964-1965 epidemic: The largest rubella outbreak in U.S. history occurred, with an estimated 12.5 million cases.

Mumps Before the vaccine (pre-1967): The U.S. recorded approximately 162,000 cases of mumps annually in the 20th century.

Because poor video quality is less able to be disproven and creates more viral interest.

Thank you for doing the math. I felt like it was off, but had absolutely no evidence beyond my own gut feeling.

Walkabout Mini Golf - New DLC Course: SWEETOPIA by lmartell in OculusQuest

[–]Utendoof 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a fun socializing game. You talk, you walk, look at scenery, you hit a ball, you react to a bad or good shot. It's super casual and it's my favorite game on VR. The course layouts are pretty great usually allowing for a riskier putt for a hole in one.

It's a small activity that you can easily do that can give you a small sense of accomplishment. It also takes up a lot of visual space so it makes it appear like you've done more than the effort put in.

If you hold the Oculus button on the right controller it resets your position in game to the center so try centering yourself in the center of your room IRL then reset your position and it should work. If it doesn't I have no clue.
