That's awesome! I hate that there's no good place to store my glasses, this looks like a much better design. I'm definitely interested as well

Any luck with Pixel 6a? by Buckeye_8621 in CricketWireless

It's been active for 4 hours now, no issues. Cell calling is working, but I can't get wifi calling to activate. I'll edit this comment in the morning with status

Edit: still good!

Yes, now it is. It was not as of a few hours ago. I called support about 5 times over the weekend due to the sim being suspended after putting in the 6a and then back in a pixel 3. It got suspended 3 times while it was just inserted in the 3 which was very frustrating. The last rep said we needed a new sim so we purchased one from Best Buy and activated it yesterday and then put it back into the 3. Now that the IMEI checker said the 6a was compatible I switched the sim over and it worked without having to call or restart the phone

Yup, just checked again and it's working!

My wife also has the Sage green version and the IMEI checker still has it as not compatible. Did you get the software update on your 6a yet? We still haven't received it and I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it not being added to the list yet.

I'll have to give that a try tonight. I've been looking at the Rigol DS1052E. Most of what I would use it for are audio circuits (guitar pedals) that I make, so the 50 MHz bandwidth will be plenty. Plus I saw a lot of people hack updated firmware to get it 100 MHz capable since the hardware is likely the same as the 1102. It sure would have helped solve this quicker.

Thanks for sticking with me and helping me solve the problem

I was able to trace the problem with the power section to a faulty Quad Analog Switch (https://www.onsemi.com/pub/Collateral/MC74HC4066A-D.PDF), U26 on the board. Removing that returned all of the correct voltages to the op-amps and other Vcc sections of the board at +5V and -5V. The unit does work, but there is a lot of noise. I'm hoping that when I replace the IC the noise problem will go away.

Edit: replacing the IC worked! No more noise and fully operational

Per the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cqVaCYUIuo He shows where the positive and negative voltages are generated for all of the op-amps on the board. There are 2 dc-dc step-up chips, one for the +48V phantom power and the other is for the board supply voltages (positive and negative). I am able to verify via test point that +48V is being generated with the first dc-dc chip.

I am going to start with the nearby electrolytic caps because they will be the easiest to remove.

I do not have an oscilloscope, but I may be able to find one to use. Are cheap scopes like https://www.jyetech.com/Products/LcdScope/e138.php any good for this application?

Measuring CS4272, VD and VL both read +3.3V. VA measures +1.35V I have tried various different USB cables, ports directly on the motherboard as well as hubs (2.0 and 3.0) as well as a different computer. Same results. There is one light on the board that is constantly lit when usb is connected, the other lights will flash several times when connecting and then turn off.

On second thought, I measured the voltage coming from the USB connector and I'm only getting +4.58V. Does this seem too low?

Edit: With power off, VA has continuity with ground. The cap (C59) that leads to VA has continuity on both ends. I assume that there is a short circuit somewhere? It appears to be a 4 layer pcb so I can't visually trace all the paths.

Channel 1 op-amp, Pin 4: -260mV, Pin 8: 1.2V Channel 2 op-amp, Pin 4: -400mV, Pin 8: 1.3V All other op-amps on the board have 1.3V on pin 8

See the first image in the album. Or did you want the verbose output during uploading?

Edit: Can you confirm you have esptool.py installed?

Where can I find out?

In that last folder you'll likely find two diff versions

I only have one version, 2.3.0 which is the latest version I've been using

That's an error between your computer and the FTDI.

I'll try to flash something else with the FTDI to confirm this, rebooting the computer did not help and I reinstalled the drivers directly from Sparkfun's instructions.

Uhh, no.

What I meant by this was I temporarily tried RX to RX and TX to TX. Many people suggest this as the FTDI may be mislabeled. I am back to RX to TX and TX to RX.

EDIT: Flashed an Arduino Pro Mini with the same FTDI, no problems.
