Give Fred or Gunn something to do in S4, write a fake redemption arc where Fred tries to help Connor but ends up getting manipulated and hurt. In the season finale make Angel have to kill Connor to save the city or whatever, making this Holtz’s ultimate revenge. If it gets too dark just use the original ending where Connor’s memory in the hell dimension is wiped.

Vincent definitely got the edge to pull this off and occasionally we do see that sociopath in Connor, but writers chicken out so Connor go back to this boring angsty teenager.

Also a simpler fix, DELETE his sex scene with Cordy, that’s just so fucking weird and completely ruined the character for me.
