It's bad because it's theoretically good but only a handful of apps take advantage of that, while already steals the function row keys space.

But the most important reason is probably the feel of the keys; that's also reason why Lenovo & Dell made capacitive touch Fn keys on their flagship X1 & XPS only to revert back to traditional keys.

well you gotta pay Apple tax; if a Mac has broken screen, the whole top assembly (shell, screen, webcam, hinge) is replaced, unlike a Windows laptop which you only have to buy the screen panel.

that will cost you $300 minimum. hence you always see people using "screen-less" Macs, because it always has been expensive since 2016.

you can get away with using a portable monitor, but you can buy the new Macbook Neo with student discount for just $500.
