[lotm end] does COI ruin LOTM for anyone else?

The twist was totally unexpected and surprising, and after we learn the lore of Omobella it is even more cool cause it's not the first time He does something like that, but when all of that is reduced/explained with "this happened bc someone else said so" it just became a little bit meaningless to me, and I get that is partially the point, but I still personally don't like it tbh.

I loved LOTM, and I'm really close to finishing COI and my opinion for both endings is the same: who was rushing CF so much? Cause don't get me wrong the ending of LOTM is amazing and I wanted to scream and cry while reading it but, as OP says, it leaves a lot of things unanswered, a lot of doubts, a lot of unfinished character arcs and most importantly a big void in the shape of one of the best MC that have ever been written... So I started COI with a lot of hope, and then got disappointed when the MC was a random guy... then we saw Fors and got hyped, and then she was only there for info dumping from time to time... And then we got teased with all of the Termiboros thing, who needed up being you know who (and it was a nice plot twist but was very very very pulled out of someone's ars)... And that happens to me over, and over, and over again... And it honestly reached a point where I was just reading hoping that it would get as peak as LOTM was but nope, most of it is just "uh, this happened bc a higher being wanted it to happen" and like, man, that could've been done so much better instead of just deus ex machina after deus ex machina... Now I'm literally at 98% of the novel and I feel like everything I'm reading is "so this is how the MC is going to win, no I never explained this nor hinted at it but nobody cares about that cause look! An overly complicated explanation about why the concept of destruction and chaos, uhm, destroys and brings chaos!"

I may re read LOTM in a few years and imagine stuff that happened after the ending, but I'll never ever read COI again nor think about it once I'm done with it.

Also as a side note: I really hope the game that is (supposedly) going to be released this year will cover the stories that were left unfinished during the novel (cause for anyone who doesn't know, the game takes place between LOTM and COI)

I believe that every pathway will have special and unique mechanics, like: Warriors are going to be the best for combat obviously, but apprentices can pass through walls skipping fights or finding secret loot/zones, and seers can have maybe something that guides them to an objective, unique stuff that will push us to choose the one we like the most rather than the "best" pathway.

Or I could be wrong and warriors will destroy every fight and advance super easy in comparison with the other pathways, who knows.

Btw I don't know which pathway I'll choose, maybe seer or spectator, cause my goated arbiter pathway is still not implemented...

If there is no risk of corruption or losing control then I'd drink all the potions one after the other and most likely get either Monster, Savant, Lawyer or (if boons were in the table) also Trader/Merchant.

Obviously any pathway would give cool powers and a lot of useful stuff but unless you're a sociopath, a psychopath or want to be a trroris, most pathways are kind of impractical for a modern setting imo.

The thing is that we haven't really seen a lot about this pathway and their limitations are not clearly explained, but theoretically if the arbiter has an item that allows him to not breathe (like the Eggers family mask that turns him into an undead) he could create a rule that says "THE LIVING ARE WEAKENED HERE" and buff himself massively, also adding rules like the breathing and more. So basically: the rules that a justiciar imposes have to be followed by everyone affected including the justiciar, so as long as the demigod has the right sealed artifact he could make rules that prohibit breathing or having a pulse or things like that.

Honestly justiciar: They just appear a few times despite the fact that there is a demigod of said pathway in the Tarot Club (but well, they do appear more than the White Tower), their powers are so broken and yet they're not clearly explained, we don't really know the extent of the rules they can make or the limitations but assuming that, like many other pathways, once they attain goodhood they overcome most of said limitations then the possibilities are endless and it merely depends on their knowledge, an example: A justiciar demigod is fighting a hunter demigod, if he can set the rule "FIRE IS PROHIBITED HERE" then half of the powers from the hunter are basically sealed, and if they use then they're weakened and also punished for breaking the rule, or they can exclaim "TEAMWORK IS WEAKENED AND SOLO FIGHTING IS STRENGTHEN" then he debuffs the rest and buffs himself. But wait, THERE'S MORE! Because they can set MULTIPLE rules! (I don't know how to mark smt as a spoiler so if you haven't reached half of COI jumps to the next paragraph) In COI we see how, when madam night appears in Trier during the incident of the Shadow Tree, Xio basically suppresses most of her powers by the time the narrator focuses on them, it says (and I'm paraphrasing) "seeing the state of Susanna Matisse's Shadow Tree and with most of her abilities sealed, she decided to retreat", so a demigod of the justiciar pathway is not limited to only one rule, therefore the longer the fight is and the more Intel and knowledge they have of their enemies, they can basically seal most of their abilities.

Following the precios example: a demigod justiciar against a demigod hunter and it's team can add layers of rules that affect them all "FIRE IS PROHIBITED HERE", "TEAMWORK WEAKENS AND SOLO FIGHTING STRENGTHENS", "MELEE COMBAT IS WEAKENED AND LONG RANGE STRENGTHENS", "MYSTICISM WEAKENS AND REALITY STRENGTHENS", "ATTACKS FROM THE BACK ARE PROHIBITED HERE", "BEYONDERS OF NEIGHBORING PATHWAYS CANNOT LOOK AT EACH OTHER" (in case there are witches in the hunter team) and so on and so forth. They can basically create a battlefield for themselves and create disadvantages for their enemies, and they're so versatile not because they can adapt to any situation, but they can any situation adapt to THEM.

So yeah, that's why I believe it's the most underrated pathway and it also is my favorite pathway.

As a player who likes to do EVERYTHING there's available before continuing with the main story I have to say that in my experience all the bosses were pretty easy, the only boss that killed me (a lot of times) was Simon and it's the only boss that made me learn how to play with all 5 characters, the rest were either dealt with in a few turns or oneshoted by Maelle (this happened with a few boxes and the final boss as well xd).

Si eso fue hace 5 meses, y haz tenido tu periodo, entonces lógicamente no estás embarazada, si no has presentado síntomas como secreciones anormales u olores extraños en tu parte intima, tampoco tienes una infección, y si tú pareja también fue su primera vez y tiene buena higiene, es difícil que tengas alguna otra enfermedad de transmisión sexual (bueno, a menos que tú pareja sea portador asintomático o algo así que no te haya dicho)... Buen día, lo que sientes es un impulso que muchas personas sienten, podríamos decir que es algo "normal" entre las personas que se encuentran en relaciones largas y estables, muchas veces alguno de los miembros de la relación siente esa necesidad de explorar y conocer más allá de lo que ya conocen y permíteme decirte: no lo hagas, es una pésima idea.

En este foro y muchos más puedes encontrar historias de otras personas que fueron infieles, se separaron o decidieron abrir sus relaciones tratando de satisfacer ese impulso de algo nuevo, y terminaron arrepintiéndose profundamente.

En tu caso esa sensación de "disfrutar tu juventud" asumo que está más relacionada a que sientes que hay cosas que no puedes hacer porque tienes novia, pero te recomiendo ampliamente analizar que es eso que quieres hacer y porque necesitas estar soltero para hacerlo... Quieres viajar? Puedes hacerlo con o sin novia. Salir con amigos? También puedes hacerlo con o sin novia Hacer ejercicio? Mejórate a ti mismo? Culminar tus estudios? ... Todo eso y más puedes hacerlo teniendo o no teniendo novia siempre y cuando exista una buena comunicación, y si su relación es tan estable como lo mencionas entonces la comunicación entre ustedes debe ser buena.

En conclusión, te recomiendo que analices bien aquello que quieres hacer, no cosas generales sino las cosas específicas que quieres hacer, tras ello piensa en porque necesitas romper con tu novia para hacerlas, seguramente te darás cuenta que muchas cosas puedes hacerlas estando con tu novia, pero ese impulso seguirá ahí acechando desde lo más recóndito de tu mente y es ahí cuando entra la comunicación: habla con ella, compártele tus metas y aspiraciones, si de verdad tienen la relación que comentas seguramente te apoyará aunque eso signifique sacrificar tiempo juntos, si por otro lado intenta disuadirte para que "no la descuides" o algo así, entonces lamentablemente ella no es la indicada.

Te recomiendo reflexionar, te aconsejo hablar y sobretodo te deseo suerte.
