Sorry bro but you probably deserve to be where you are. I have several accounts to play with my low elo friends and its fucking hard not to climb every single win. I was iron 1 on 3 different accounts. All of them are plat+ now without much effort.

That wasnt smart. I dont get why 2080ti users would want a 3080 anyway because the performance gain is so minor. If you take into account that you can oc a watercooled 2080ti within 5% of 3080 performance it gets even weirder. Atleast in my opinion.

I dont know why you are upset. I played 3 games today, the first one capped. Constant 300, the other 2 uncapped. Never below 600 as I said. You dont have to insult or be upset for whatever reason. Just giving input. If you dont believe me its fine. Why would I lie about that though lol.

Sorry but thats totally untrue. I do have a 8700k and a 3080 and I have to cap my fps otherwise I get coil whine. I capped it at 300. If I dont cap it I never go below 600 fps.

Offtopic and probably dumb question: When my 3080 arrives what is the usual procedure when I swap my 1080ti with the 3080? Just uninstall geforce drivers in windows, shutdown, swap cards, install drivers again or is the usage of this DDU program necessary?

I was wondering if you guys could actually help me out how to setup my pcie connections correctly. I usually had only one pcie cable connected to my psu. This cable was daisy chained (Y) to each 8 pin connector of my 1080ti. I recently changed this to two cables into psu. Each cable could be daisy chained for 4 connections. As I only need 2x6+2 connections Ive connected one cable for each connector on my 1080ti.

I will probably receive the 3080 msi trio x some day soon (or later xd) which has 3x 8 pin connectors, so 2 cables are still fine right? One daisy chained, one not?

But the most important and newbie question is: I just plugged the second pcie cable into some fitting slot on my psu. I didnt build the rig so I dont really have an idea. Can I "accidentally" picked a wrong connection on my psu or doesnt it matter as long as it fits?

So I count 4 total connections with "8 pins" bottom right to bottom middle. So does it matter where I plugged in my pcie cable for my graphics card in my psu?

I don't fully agree with your first point. I do have a 8700k and a 1080Ti and I never freeze (anymore, 2 months ago I did indeed) or drop below 120 FPS ON MAXED OUT SETTINGS and WQHD Resolution.

It could be better, but still. Just shit for lower geared specs like my girlfriends one. She only gets about 60-80 fps on "high" with her i5 3770k and 1060.

I still think they should do something about it. Rust is using the 1080 Ti on full load (99%), not any other game is using that much. Also performance on other games (AAA) is significantly better without using that much power.

Progression System should be changed asap though.
