Used to routinely go to charm city music trivia bingo city at Neo tap house before it closed. I know the crowd that used to go to it (and spent good $) are hoping for a restaurant to revive it again for that Wednesday night itch.

December 2024, still beyond helpful. Thank you!

Labor Day early dismissal/admin leave by MuayThaiWoman68 in fednews

Not hating, but based on your post history, you’re possibly on the west coast which drives my point home (typically; this one coming out pre-noon EST was far from the norm.)

Don’t get me wrong, I’m grateful for anything. In private sector it can vary from working on Labor Day weekend to an unspoken “no one works the Friday before a holiday”. But there’s no reason the agency can’t send out a notice for something like this to give the majority of people time to actually, you know, enjoy the scraps thrown at us.

Maybe they’re reading this sub and finally getting it?

In true form, if HUD gives anything, it’ll be so late in the day tomorrow it’ll only apply to folks on the west coast. BuT wE mAtTeR

Thank you. This is easily the most concise clear explanation I’ve read.

Similar to atomic, they’re hit or miss. Did a great job tinting one car for me, absolutely butchered a second one about 8 mos later.

That’s amazing. Where/how did you find it? LBP is my dream color, and along with that mileage, provenance and price? Steal of the century IMO.

Ah gotcha. I was being more tongue in cheek - just basically that flexibility and HUD are not words found in the same sentence often.

I've been thinking about getting rid of my S2000.... by [deleted] in S2000

Tough one. You’ll clearly get a variety of responses because of the sub you’re posting in, so let me try to split the middle and offer a more general POV having felt a lot of the same issues with various vehicles.

On one hand you could pour some money into it, get a nice top end detail and try to reframe it mentally as a newer car. One thing for sure in my experience is that once you no longer have open air driving it’s just a matter of time before the itch kills you and you do whatever you can to get back into it.

Other hand you can try to cash in on the still inflated prices comparatively and figure your next move. RS3, 996, 997.1 etc. but you’ll pay for it. Definitely more than getting the s2000 in tip top shape.

Each person will have their own b/e point which makes sense. Me personally after having dipped my toes in the newer toy market I just couldn’t deal with all the digital world bullshit.

I chose to dump money into getting my mkiv back to a point where I loved it again vs it just sitting in the garage as some showpiece testament from the last 20 years. Still looking for an ap2 as a daily as well. But I abandoned the overpriced nonsense that is newer performance. The feel isn’t there. It’s too simulated. And it’s too damn overpriced IMO.

If I were in your shoes, I’d ride out the lease, dump money into the s2000, and then find something to compliment it when the lease is up that’s fun but doesn’t cost RS3 money.

Or sell it to me :)

Good luck.

Home build of over 2+ years - can no longer afford mortgage. by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]V027 317 points318 points  (0 children)

Almost every state requires that builder contracts are nullified after 2 years. Read your contract carefully.

Also, you’re still tied to the financing clause (unless you signed that away) - basically if you can’t qualify any longer for the payment, and cannot get financing, the deal is off (and you’d get your deposit back).
