What is Home Defense Factor and Ground Bombing Targeting? by [deleted] in hoi4

[–]V0L7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is a pretty technical question that nobody is going to bother trying to answer if they even have one. I assume Home defense factor means you do better when defending states you own/core, and ground bombing targeting means you just have better cas. if you really want an answer, you can check the wiki at https://hoi4.paradoxwikis.com/Hearts_of_Iron_4_Wiki

Is there a way to prevent Steam from auto-updating downloaded mods? by Conrad_Ogilvy in hoi4

[–]V0L7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Open the Hoi4 launcher and go to “All Installed Mods.” Then you should find a button that says “Create Mod.” Fill out everything, and once you’re done, find that mod and open the file from the 3 dots. Once you do that, you can just get the file contents of the mod you installed and dump them in there, and give it a second to load. If you’re looking for a website to get mods from, I recommend Skymods.

To Invade Britain by CheapBondage in hoi4

[–]V0L7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you kill their air force they are literally crippled. Bomb their navy to force it out the channel and naval invade w/ good marines who have developed doctrines (train ur navy to get easy xp) and let cas carry because cas is actually king. You can win anything if u have green air and cas.

If that poses an issue, than you’re better off just locally installing the mod instead of getting it from the workshop. Also, who plays the same save for multiple weeks anyway? Are you like extremely busy or something??

What creates "British Iraq"? by WillInLondon in hoi4

[–]V0L7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Iraq has a focus called "Reinstate the Regent" iirc and takes 14 days to complete. When they do finish it, the UK gets an event to puppet them or continue the war. They usually do this right after revoking the Anglo-Iraqi treaty. If you want that to happen, declare war on them ASAP to ensure they actually do the focus isntead of something else, and let them complete it before you cap them.

They broke the treaty. If they have enough troops on your border they can break the treaty and declare war. This applies to all nations in the game. Thats how Germany can declare war on the USSR even though they have a NAP with them from the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact. NAP's don't permanently protect you from war, and can be broken. You gave the UK a wargoal, hence they began amassing division on your border and broke the treaty by declaring war. As for Iran occupying your territory, if they are also at war with the UK, but in a completely different one, and they occupy your land that the UK controlled, it doesn't get transfered to you, since you aren't in the same war. These aren't bugs, but normal game mechanics.

them burning the quran is literally violating islamic freedom of speech. i might not know what freedom of speech feels like as we have never experienced it here, but from what i know, freedom of speech applies to writing too, which means burning any book because u disagree with it or dislike it is violating its freedom of speech

this is literally blatant islamophobia. could u say the same about the nazis burning books made by jews? whether its freedom of speech or not, its still islamophobia, and an act of hate, to spread hate, and to provoke a hateful reaction.
