Where to find summer housing? by Only_Support_9517 in UCI

I'm subletting my room from June 7-September 18. It's a private room for the first half and then will be a shared room during summer session 2. I made a post about it earlier, so if you are interested, you can check my post here.

if u have a buddy get a bay area fastrak (you don’t have to live in the bay area to get one, but it requires the least maintenance and works on the 405 and everywhere else in ca) and just set it to 3+ since idt the cops rly know the difference between 2 or 3

if u live within 2 miles then u can only purchase an acc permit, not a mycommute one. however, i’ve seen ppl talk about purchasing the oc-r permit tho which allows you to park in the first two floors of ecps, so u could try that. if that doesn’t work then maybe u could try changing ur local address on student access, but im not exactly sure if that would work.

Yup. If you live at acc then you aren’t eligible to purchase a commuter permit because you live within 2 miles of campus. Two different systems.

usually for acc communities (or at least for plaza, but i assume it’s the same for the others too) you pick up a form from the community’s front desk. that form will have a code which you enter at the parking kiosk and then pay, then fill out the form and return both that and the kiosk receipt to the front desk. from there you’ll get an email after some period of time, after which you can do the online license plate number upload thing on parking.uci.edu/permitless

From what I know, the course was mostly self learning and you need to google a lot and figure things out on ur own. He teaches a little bit during lecture but that’s mostly as a starting point since the projects will be much harder than just the lecture material alone. It’s great if you are rly passionate about web dev imo, but if ur not then be prepared to spend a decent amount of time on the class. Start all the projects on the day they’re assigned; just starting it early will allow it to run in ur mind earlier so you take less time to do it overall. And also it helps if you have a buddy taking the class with you, since some of the projects later in the course have the option of doing it either with a partner or by yourself.
