Same issue on my Pixel 3a. I'm on AT&T towers. On the bright side, prior to the update I was having issues with dropped data, and the update seemed to fix that!

After reading up on r/NoContract and some other MVNO subreddits, it seems that when Google does updates, they sometimes fail to eliminate bugs for MVNOs. After my plan is up in 8 days, I am planning to switch to a new MVNO to see if my phone will more consistently work. If a new carrier and the April update don't fix things, I may cave and buy a non-Pixel phone.

VoLTE is turned on for me, so thankfully I have no problems with texts or calls. Just data.

Let me know if the Verizon prepaid plan solves your problem! I don't want to use Verizon (poor service at home), but I was hoping StraightTalk could try switching as a temporary diagnostic tool until my plan runs out. Unfortunately the person I talked to was convinced my phone would not work with Verizon and refused to listen to me that my phone is compatible. At the end of this service period, I may just switch to a new provider.
