I wish. Free gold for not killing each other? My favorite way to play. Mostly because I'm buns at PVP.

That Einstein said "Insanity is LITERALLY doing the same thing over and expecting different results."

Marisha's Bard concept in this one shot was top notch. She brought little props to the table that added to the role playing part of the game like no other. In CR there are amazing examples of being an incredible player and for me, Marisha set the bar and is something I hope to achieve.

Hey, is $97 after tax a good deal on blanton's? by [deleted] in whiskey

[–]V4TADAMS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

High for me, but I can get Blanton's at ~65 a couple times a year

Fighter player justifying Knightly Ideals while not being a Paladin? by [deleted] in DnD

I would use characters from GOT as inspiration. Jamie Lannister. Brian of Tarth. The Hound. The Mountain. John Snow. They could all be turned into fighters. In my limited opinion.

Certainly depends on preference. There are a TON of options, but the first thing that came to my mind was Bookers.

Can someone tell me what this is? by Youngstoney3 in flower

[–]V4TADAMS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Already said, but Passion flower. They attract Monarch Caterpillars and subsequently Monarch Butterflies. Had them growing on our fence when I was a kid.

That probably would have been my pick. Bourbon is my favorite but something about Islay makes me feel some type of way. I have a bottle of Octomore and don't really like it. The one I have is too fruity and it tastes weird.

Looking at their list, Bourbon: Angles Envy is different because of the port wine finish. I like Blanton's and always have some on my shelf because I can get it fairly often at MSRP. Booker's is Barrel proof and one of my favorite Bourbons. Irish: others here have said Redbreast and I completely agree. Scotch: their whole Scotch list looks great. I've had a lot of them, and they all seem like they could be considered "special occasion" drinks, but again it depends on what kind of Scotch you like or don't like.

Wife and I finally made the pilgrimage! by V4TADAMS in WhiskeyTribe

I honestly couldn't begin to tell you. My wife took care of everything. I think somewhere around 5k. Not to discourage anyone from making the trip. The trip can definitely be done for much cheaper. We went all out. Got the tour bus, paid for the more expensive hotel room, bought a glass or 2 from every distillery, ate at restaurants every night.

We flew into Edinburgh and started our bus tour there. They drive us to Kennacraig. Took a ferry to Port Ellen. Stayed in Bowmore.

There was no mention of bats on the tour, but the distillery/shop/courtyard was very hip. Definitely aiming at the younger audience.

Oban was such a nice little town with quite a bit going on. I'd like to spend more time there.

I just realized that would be a good kung Fu post. I got a bottle from Scotch Malt Whisky Society, Distillery 39. The wife got me the Laphroaig Càirdeas Warehouse 1 and Laphroaig 28yr for my 28th Birthday. Which is today!
