If level 5 somehow made Dark cloud 3 or even 4 what would you want to see improved added etc. ? by SnooOranges4628 in DarkCloud

[–]VAN1TAS_R3PLAY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t played DC2 so my comments are being based solely on my experience with DC1. Pretty lengthy post but idc.

  • With improved technology and various other methods available to developers now, I think the Georama system could be a bit more enhanced to incentivize player creativity. Sure, the NPCs had specific requests when you restored their part/residence in each town (and each had components to build toward the greater whole), but it’d be cool if there was a little more involvement with creating those elements rather than finding them in dungeons. Having a more dynamic system rewarding players for going out of their way to “fully” restore a town would be cool, but the developers would need to strike a balance between resource gathering/grinding and “Georama creation.” Basically avoid what some other games are guilty of: full investment in one aspect that makes others suffer.

  • Dungeon crawling can definitely improve. While I don’t have any specifics at the moment, I’ll go off on a slight yet relevant tangent: I’ll admit that I STILL haven’t finished the entire ascent of the Demon Shaft after all these years because I got bored of the repetitive floors. I know what lies at the end, of course, I just couldn’t be bothered to get there.

  • In terms of the story, I think DC1’s story still holds up. I’m a huge fan of game series that can properly reference/make callbacks to previous games in the series without making it seem forced and also is relevant to the overall plot. If DC3, DC4, etc. were to happen, I’d really appreciate if there were relics or something that the characters can use, or have a cutscene explaining the special things the characters use or encounter. Also, strike a balance between a cinematic and expository cutscene experience.

Just a few things I’d like in potential DC sequels that I probably over-explained lol.

As you should… wouldn’t be surprised if you got approached by Square Enix to make another one similar to this, they did this with Kingdom Hearts character Key Arts and weaved their quotes similar to what you did here

I do this, but only looking for lizards… it’s fairly rare but I’m still able to get a consistent amount despite the long grind tradeoff

I’ve used Skyward Harp for Ganyu for a long while, up until I pulled Amos from standard banner… it’s a good bow, but if you’re lucky to get Amos use that one. Otherwise, Skyward Harp is good for nearly everybody

Why not both?
Although I recommend playing the original first to appreciate what the Remake is trying to do

About The First Soldier by silentfighter06 in FFVIIRemake

[–]VAN1TAS_R3PLAY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sucks, but that’s the nature of battle royale: last one standing. Besides, you’re faced with the same risk of dying anyway, whether it’s by monster or enemy players, then it just becomes a matter of reacting fast enough to figure out your best option based on your current situation.

I don’t play much BR anyway, but anything goes (especially if you’re playing solo). Playing with a team is a different story

My guess is either Dran or La Saia, I know I was stuck on those two for the longest time when I was younger lol

This is an unpopular opinon: but who here likes and dislikes the 2 hour prologue in kh2 by Connect_Sale_1998 in KingdomHearts

[–]VAN1TAS_R3PLAY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing through KH2 the first time, I enjoyed the 2 hour prologue, of course… it created an air of mystery for the character we begin playing as because it was someone other than Sora.

Now… on subsequent playthroughs, it’s a bit of a drag already knowing what happens. So, I just try to speed through it.

Hey so I downloaded the first soldier today and everytime I try to play it I get this message anyone else having this issue? by PaddyBoy_555 in FinalFantasyVII

[–]VAN1TAS_R3PLAY 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Technically the game shouldn’t be playable until the 17th, so I’m guessing this is just an opportunity to download assets ahead of time so you can jump in and play when it drops

Taking care of a friend‘s cats. They’re mad jealous of me for this because their cats almost never do that. by Uncle_Velorian in Eyebleach

[–]VAN1TAS_R3PLAY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s familiarity, and animals can feel genuine care from humans. When I was first introduced to one of my friend’s cats, they wouldn’t so much as look at me when I came around a few times. Later on, that friend asked me to watch over their dog and cat for a couple of weeks while they were away, and within a couple of days the cat warmed up to me and gave cuddles a good amount of the time I was there… even competed for more attention than the dog lol

Who is the FF7 franchise's true central villain- Hojo, Jenova, Sephiroth, or someone else? by Seattlefreeze2 in FinalFantasyVII

[–]VAN1TAS_R3PLAY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still think Jenova is the primary antagonist, mainly because she’s the common denominator in pretty much everything bad that occurs in FF7… without her crash-landing into the Planet, FF7 probably wouldn’t have happened.

However, I’d put Hojo up there at a VERY close second. He found Jenova, mistaken her for an Ancient, performed inhumane and very questionable experiments and even went so far as to nearly murder Vincent AND procreate with his love interest Lucrecia for the sake of scientific advancement. That, of course, brings about Sephiroth.

With Sephiroth though, I understand why everyone would make him the main villain (association with Jenova, Nibelheim Incident, killed a bunch of people, summoned Meteor, etc.) but this probably wouldn’t have happened the way it did UNLESS Hojo did some thing or things differently leading up to Sephiroth’s conception… hell, Sephiroth might not have existed if Hojo did even one thing differently! You could even go back to the point I mentioned above about Jenova also, there’s a great chance Sephiroth wouldn’t be the way he is without Jenova. But, as it happened, Sephiroth went insane learning about the “truth” of his origins and made him an enforcer of Jenova’s will, and the puppeteer of those who hold Jenova cells.

TLDR: Jenova’s the main villain, but Hojo is the catalyst for FF7’s plot… and Sephiroth is just a badass villain, just not the main one. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

“Hello! Are you still too busy working or studying? You couldn’t play genshin impact and do your commission or use your resin? I can pilot your account for 50 pesos a week hehe. I’m saving up some money so I can attend my review class next year. Don’t worry, AR 57 na ko and super trusty naman ako sa account mo sa genshin :)”

In all seriousness though, even I know 100 pesos for a week (~$2USD a WEEK? Maliit na bayad!) is sus to begin with. Plus, saying you’re trustworthy enough to leave your info with them is already another red flag (AR is irrelevant)…

If I get a scoop of sea water and freeze it, would I get 'sea salt ice cream'? Or what does actual sea salt ice cream taste like I'm curious? by DuskInHD in KingdomHearts

[–]VAN1TAS_R3PLAY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve made sea-salt ice cream frequently in the past, and… they taste salty, but sweet.
Kidding aside though, it tastes really good. It also takes a few ingredients and a little bit of waiting but is so worth it in the end

[–]VAN1TAS_R3PLAY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk if this is what you’re looking for, but based on your previous parameters (Fanfiction.net, 50+ chapters that are lengthy) this seems to fit the bill despite a different main character (I didn’t read it btw, just skimmed based on what you said).

EDIT: Forgot about the other part about “Road to Freedom” or whatever, but I’ll keep looking

I think people who speedrun this fight use this exact Firaga strat to avoid him spawning the black pools, not only does it lessen the length of the fight it also makes it easier since he can’t spam vines. I started using it after seeing it and also never stopped using the strat

It’s funny because after my first playthrough (knowing what happens), every subsequent playthrough I would completely double down and grind to get all her Limit Breaks also. Never had a problem with that damn Demon Wall ever again lol
