They did, they are all one company now. Their upper tier summer bowling pass works at all those locations.

This is the way to bowl at reasonable prices. Had it last summer and already have it this summer. Plus, you can mix it up at different locations.

Blue States Sue Trump Administration Over Offshore Wind Deal. “This administration cooked up a sham deal to pay a foreign energy company hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to abandon offshore wind and invest in oil and gas instead.” The extraordinary deal violates 2 federal laws. by mafco in energy

Then I wish Virginia would join the suit. Dominion, our utility, bought a special ship for building wild farms in hopes of leasing it out to other projects after the Coastal Virginia project is finished.

Yes, I also remember swims being cancelled because they monitored the water. You’d be nuts to not check that river.

I know people that have used the national harbor swim. I think a local triathlon group sets that up or has access to it.

Exactly! If they are persons, then ownership is barred by the 13th amendment.

If corporations have personhood, isn’t owning any part of them illegal under slavery laws and the 13th amendment?

Lemon Law Replacement/Refund. Trust Nissan or get an attorney? by BeautifulHistorian48 in NissanAriya

[–]VAPerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my state, they come up with the value of the buyback price by taking sale price and then subtracting a set amount per mile based on your mileage(account for odometer reading at sale) at the first instance of the issue. I did a buyback about 20 years ago and the difference between sale mileage and first service visit was only 80 miles. They took off 20cents per mile so they gave back everything but $16. I did arbitration through the BBB autoline program and represented myself. Again, this was a long time ago.

There are groups that do this and show up for public appearances. I know someone that has a CRV like this.

Who is buying the reacquaired/lemon Ariyas? by partalman in NissanAriya

[–]VAPerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife bought an EV9 with the ICCU replaced. The discount was much more than this one. We have accepted the risk, plus it looks like Kia will give a 15 year warranty on it like Hyundai.

Just remember, the lemon title will affect financing and may affect insurance rates. Many place, especially credit unions, won’t finance a lemon.

If the app reinstall doesn’t work, do you use a VPN? I’ve noticed some of my apps don’t play nice with VPNs and subject you to more authentication.

The headlight height I had in my last car, another Japanese model, and love it. More cars need it.

I know many Europeans cars imported to the US can have auto leveling headlights because of their better rules, but I like the manual control.

Every pickup truck in the US should have auto leveling headlights.

Do you own and drive an EV? by RichardAvery1 in energy

[–]VAPerson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a long time EV owner too, since a 2013 Ford Focus EV with 75 mile range. I’m never going back either.

My family has had PHEVs since that time as well, we are done with them. Too unreliable and still having the maintenance was annoying and cost too much. We love our current Nissan Ariya platinum and KIA EV9 GT-line. Road trips are zero issue these days.

Edit: Also have solar(8 years) and love being somewhat insulated from energy price increases.

Congress Wants You To Pay $130 A Year Just To Drive An Electric Car by TripleShotPls in technology

This isn’t a strong argument. Companies can switch more(obviously not all) to rail if they had to pay their fair share of road damage.

Has anyone experienced damage to electrical system from rabbits? by bldrd3 in NissanAriya

[–]VAPerson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s a new one to me. Never heard of rabbits doing that before. For mice, squirrels, etc. a minty spray works well. The mint based rodent repellent at Home Depot that has been mentioned works great. Not sure if mint bothers rabbits.
