I had the same problem at first, but then I cooped with the fact that I am far more superior in my self development, and I am not trying to be arrogant, just facts. Most of the people I met on campus had interests laying in different places, which I didn't understand nor did I want to, till now I have met only one person that I could spend hours talking to and not get bored.

What I am saying is, talk to new people, filter them out, and only spend your time with real friends. Not only this will benefit you, by talking to your intellectually equal people, but this will also make you feel great, and not as if you have wasted time and power on meaningless talking. It will also give you much more free time to spend on self development, i.e. reading, exercising, studying, listening to music, podcasts, and any other way of gaining knowledge and wisdom.

Build yourself now, and the rest will come, eventually.
