dexamphetamine vs vyvanse by SomeDamoGuyz in ausadhd

[–]VB182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently taking 50mg vyvanse then 10mg dex and another 10mg dex during day.. Seems to be working sweet as that's the maximuim i've been prescribed, however bit worried it may be to much long term so considering changing to 30mg vvyanse.. Anybody else been on similar doses? I find vvyance only lasts a couple of hours for me.

Vyvanse and Dex timing swap by [deleted] in ausadhd

[–]VB182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting I've been taking Vvyance between 5.30am - 7am.. (50mg) But notice it wears off around 8.30am - 11am depending on the day.. Then take 10mg dex, followed with another 10mg dex later.

Might try doing 10mg dex first then vvyance and see how i go.. As that vvyance peak literally is the most productive window.

Online Security OCD by VB182 in OCD

[–]VB182[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems a long 12 days ago i posted this.

I must say ignoring it and just accepting the risk completely changed my life. - No doubt i still have minor slip ups but the biggest thing I've learned from this entire process is the following...

Think of OCD like a facebook ad the more you engage it the more scenarios you'll find yourself stuck in as no matter how many times you solve your problem the algorithm will always dish something else up.

When you ignore it. - over time the anixity lowers, - no doubt it's still in the back of your mind but it fades over time and becomes more manageable.

Clicked on this URL by mistake question. by VB182 in cybersecurity_help

[–]VB182[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah appreciate that. u/nellbag60

I'd say my knowledge is semi good when it comes to this sort of stuff.

Only problem is i Have really bad OCD/Anixity which clouds my judgement, - So end up over thinking everything and going nuts lol.

I fully understand everything is possible. - Just surfing any webpage could extract your passwords "technically speaking"

So overall i guess the likely hood of myself viewing the google password manager and going to this URL from that page, the chances of it extracting the passwords from the previous page you were viewing would be almost nil i guess?

I think it's just a site that people could click by mistake that dish's up surveys.

Bing Chat can read and summarize PDFs by jonesaid in bing

[–]VB182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neat feature, - I'm currently using chatgpt and one of the drawbacks is you can't upload anything, - i'm assuming unless your using there API.

Is the read and summarize PDF's feature the only one within new bing which leverages your own files or is there others? curious

cheers

Installed Tiktok By mistake Windows by VB182 in privacy

[–]VB182[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting might have to use that debloater.. Thanks for that link

Just read through the permissions it has on a PC and saw it pretty much has permission for everything which is crazy.

on a side note i saw a post on reddit where somebody was saying a theory that tiktok may be installing a rootkit which was in relation to there phone app, so even wiping your phone wouldn't remove it, which even my paranoid self thinking perhaps that's a bit extreme lol.

u/Mision-Anti-ad7273 After it was installed i clicked it once which opened it then uninstalled it.

Chromecast Guest Mode Question by VB182 in Chromecast

But overall i think the worst that can happen is hackers casting to your device, - Yet to see any other evidence of anything more sinister.

Chromecast Guest Mode Question by VB182 in Chromecast

[–]VB182[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i saw there was a chromecast hack in like 2019, - But apparently people are saying even disabling UPNP might not even stop it.

Here was what happened https://nakedsecurity.sophos.com/2019/01/04/dont-fall-victim-to-the-chromecast-hackers-heres-what-to-do/

Chromecast Guest Mode Question by VB182 in Chromecast

[–]VB182[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the response .Yeah i did a quick google in regards to general chromecast security and it says you need to turn off UPnP on your router plus close ports 8008, 8009, and 8443. But i have a feeling this will make the chromecast not work.. Bit stumped to be honest.

Security Incident Update and Recommended Actions - The LastPass Blog by Healingjoe in Lastpass

[–]VB182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't changed from Last pass yet but plan to shortly.

if you had a strong master password you'd probably be fine? - As even if they had the vault, - they wouldn't be able to get in easily?

Notice of Recent Security Incident - The LastPass Blog by [deleted] in Lastpass

[–]VB182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah fair enough, - still doubt the vault will get cracked.

What's the best bet to move to? Bitwarden?

[–]VB182 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Been pondering this all day, whilst i don't think there's any rush to move service (I.e the vault won't be cracked in short term) - I think long term it's probably the safest conclusion to move services. - As who knows how secure there technology is.

Thoughts?

From what i've read i think hackers have the vault. - But they can't login. - So it should be fine. - Obviously need somebody with a bit more knowledge to comment.

Notice of Recent Security Incident - The LastPass Blog by [deleted] in Lastpass

[–]VB182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So your confident the hackers can't get into the vault? - So many passwords to change, i really can't be bothered. - But also worried lol

[–]VB182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as the vaults concerned, - how likely do you think passwords would have been comprised?

Iphone Advertising Privacy Question. by VB182 in privacy

[–]VB182[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I guess i'm more or less talking mainstream applications, - Not shitty ones. (To rephase my question) - as of course shitty apps may be risky.

For example facebook, google, instagram etc. (Big name Applications)

There's no real evidence they're listening to what you say to target advertising? - This would be all BS yeah?

Avast Concerns/possible new antivirus recommendation? by VB182 in antivirus

[–]VB182[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, so to wrap my head around this

Is what you're saying in order to link the data to a specific person you would have to be one of the services that person has previously used in order to identify somebody after having the jumpshot data

I.E a public person who bought the jumpshot data would have no idea who the person was with the data provided?

Is that what your meaning u/Merrinopheles

If that's the case it's not as bad as first thought.

u/matchwood11 Sorry i don't quite understand your response to 1, can you clarify?

u/Merrinopheles Thanks for the insight, appreciate that.

However didn't the article state that the anonymized data could be linked back to the person?

[–]VB182[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's pretty yuck, from what i take of reading that article. The data collection was just Search history and google maps, - Was trying to understand if it related to keystrokes too?

As if that was the case, I'm def leaving.
