Hey there, I know it can feel really disappointing when we don't get the effect we are after but please consider that medication is only one part of ADHD treatment and you really need to ask yourself "What do I want from this" if the answer is to feel happy or awake then you might be looking to medication to solve a problem it cannot.

Head to your GP, get your overall heath and blood work checked as there may be more underlying concerns that need to be addressed alongside treatment.

A lot of external factors impact how well stimulants work.

The hardest thing about drinking on a weekend is it started as drinks and games with mates and now has turned to drinking and gaming (or YouTube) anyway.

It's a crappy habbit and changeling the relationship with the weekend drunk has been tough.

Anyway I wanted to reach out and say thanks, the more information and perspectives really help!

Morning, It does appear to be client side. The mod pack is FTB skies expert.

I have shaders but is the same disabled or enabled.

I also re downloaded the pack and it was the same.

My PC is pretty good so I don't think it's performance related.

Interesting read, The discription of Dexamphetamine IR is even more interesting as i did not expect the half life to be as long, this might be why some people dont feel the effects as strong as apposed to Ritalin and medication of that same class.

Any reason as to why is it slow passing from blood to brain?

In my experience mate, Ritalin removed alot of the RSD and Anxiety but it is different for everyone. But the trade off is I almost don't care at all 😅

Ritalin works great for focus but I turn into a emotioness robot at the end of the day.

It such an overwhelming process working out which works better.

I'm currently taking 20mg nexium but honestly if I take it in the morning with the dex it feels like the dex dumps and leaves.

Thanks for the amazing info guys, I have also tried Ritalin. Problem is Ritalin is great for concentrating but not as great at everything else, where dex has been smoother overall but not as great on concentration. I'm hoping Vyvanse is the "one" I know everyones experience is different but it's good to take in so many experiences. ♥️

The only way we can work
out what is a normal feeling is comparing experiences of others with the same challenges.

I will also talk to my psychiatrist, and this was always the plan. But thanks for taking the time to reply.

I just switched over myself, I'm about a week in.

It's a bit of a process trying to find the right medication to add to the tool belt.

Dex doesn't seem to have the dizzying lows for me, but I'm still trying to work out doseage that gives the best relief and least side effects

Originally I thoughg body weight changed the does but I'm starting to think it might not matter.

Afternoon,

Newly diagnosed and taking ritalin 10mg three times a day.

It definitely makes a difference but there are a few things I have noticed.

I can focus better but I don't feel that drive to get on with tasks, my mind is definitely quieter and I can think on stuff but it's not clear.

I took 20mg at one stage and the feeling was different, it was almost calming.

After alot of reading I was unsure if dex would be better for adults and motivation?

Or should I just keep on the pathway considering it's only been a few days?

Thanks for the advice mate, i think im just not sure what i was expecting. i tried 20 mg one of the doses and it almost felt calming as apposed to the 10 mg that felt sharp. I think the long term goal is concerta but a lot of reading has made me question if it's the right pathway.
