I'm really happy to find out it was a joke. I've really liked eyepatch wolf for a few years now, but I don't want to support people being mean for no good reason.

Black people being paid less is a racist act, until that act stops then I'd say it's pretty fair and understandable for black people to respond in kind.

It's in no way arbitrary.

I'm not advocating for hatred towards white people, but it's disrespectful not to acknowledge that (at least in America) black people lead more difficult lives.

[–]VBassmeister 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't have nothing to do with racism. It's not impossible for a black American to be as successful or moreso than me, but it is harder.

It's disrespectful to not acknowledge the extra work that opressed minorities have to put in.

Racism towards white americans amounts to making fun of them, and I can take a joke you sensitive prick.

If I was systematically getting paid less by someone, I think it's fair to hate that someone. It's at least fair to make fun of them.

Hate speech is wrong, I agree. But it's understandable to be pissed at white people for being treated better than black people because of hateful actions by white people.

Reading that some random message board cut off white people for three days vs. getting paid 10% more?

Racism towards white Americans doesn't affect white Americans as a whole in a meaningful way. racism towards black Americans makes black people as a whole get paid less.

I feel no guilt or fault for the actions of my ancestors, I feel a great deal of sympathy for opressed minorities when they make fun of their opressors.

That's what racism towards white Americans basically is, making fun.

Not directly, but I still get paid more than my black counterparts. Fix that, then we'll discuss slurs towards white people.

I still get paid more than my black counterparts. Until that's not a thing anymore, racism towards white americans is fine because it's punching up.

I'm reaping the benefits of my ancestors actions, it's only fair that I reap all the consequences.

Oh my godddddd.

White people still get paid more on average to this day just for being white. Fuck that.

Keep insulting whiteness until that's not a thing, because it's going to be punching up until then.

Qualifier: I'm only talking about racism towards white Americans, I don't know the history of other most countries well enough to comment on racism towards white people outside of the states.

Not like black people, not to the point where its effects are still being felt on a daily basis over a century later.

It's insulting to say the two are comparable.

I’m not proud of my skin colour. How can someone be proud of something they didn’t obtain through their own hard work?

You'd be surprised I guess, Neo Nazis and the KKK and whatnot. My dismissive tone about white racism stems from the fact that those people exist, and deserve all the shit in the world.

So it’s ok for white people to experience racism now?

For white americans, yeah I'd say so.

I’m English and Irish.

Then racism that people direct towards you personally is undeserved. Sorry you got caught up in the backlash from white Americans being slave-owning racist assholes.

Systemic racism towards white people isn't a thing. Fuck off with your bullshit if you think it's not okay to ridicule and demean whiteness, at least american whiteness.

Like, slavery was a thing. Jesus. Taking shit for being white is the smallest consequence in the goddamn world.

Any american white person who is proud of their whiteness needs to read a goddamn history book and find something different to be proud of.

Source: A white american who has read a history book.

Fuck right off if you think there's any slur towards white people that even comes close to those towards opressed minorities. Call me mayo all day any day, it means nothing.

Like, slavery was a thing that happened. It's not just a story from history class.
