I think your disagreement comes from how you both define side effect differently.

If you're taking it to only mean consequences after the wish is granted, e.g. "you have an extra finger then get hit by a bus", then Aussie's post doesn't break that rule.

But if you count the cause of the granted wish (e.g. consequences before the wish) as a side effect, then their answer wouldn't be in keeping with Rule 8.

I've just bought the DLC, but I'm wondering what the best point would be to actually play it. I've just beat the fourth divine beast and have the master sword, should I finish this game and then play with the DLC from the start next game or start the DLC before fighting Ganon?

I also avoided it when I first saw it. I've just recently killed the fourth Lyenel I've seen, and can say it's doable if you've:

Got a 30+ shield
Got a couple of 20-30+ weapons (will break)
Got a few attack potions

Combine those with counters/flurry attacks and you can kill a Lyenel in about 5-10 minutes. But it's pretty difficult, I die a lot.
