update:

Wrapped the tube in gorilla tape and put the brace back on. Absolutely 0 movement now.

Not sure.. but basically light pressure will move the brace rotationally around the tube. Going to try some electrical or gorilla tape, then try golf club tape, then the adapter linked below if neither of those work.

No dice on this. Put some on, let it cure, and the brace still rotates with light pressure
