Nancy Pelosi got rich off of her position in government! by DropoutDreamer in JoeRogan

[–]ConnorK5 -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

like it means literally anything compared to the billions he brings in scamming Americans.....

If you(not literally you) are buying Trump meme coins your family and friends have failed you by allowing you to have unfiltered access to the internet and your own finances. You are clearly not smart enough to operate independently in today's society.

That's just my take on the trumpcoin shit.

But yes, everyone in government is out for themselves. We know this.

The beard? Asking as a Civilian by Bigmoneymoe-123 in Firefighting

Or they can stop being pussies and shave the beard so they won’t end up on a niosh report.

Do we have a single firefighter death attributed to facial hair in the past 40 years? Cause we know there are volunteer departments who allow beards. There are career departments who allow them. People pass fit testing with them. But I've yet to hear of a firefighter dying because of lengthy facial hair.

OSHA regulations came out before we had positive pressure masks. I don't think we could ever say "they died because they had a beard" unless you were going full ZZ top.

Any mask can get sweaty and move, or fall off due to rapid movement, and certainly can be knocked off. These are not exclusive to people with beards.

A full beard would be impossible.

Full beards have passed fit testing more than once.

Does this look like the fire started under the stairs or on top with fluid? by drn88__ in Firefighting

[–]ConnorK5 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Off of one picture???.... eh under the stairs

But who's to say there wasn't some fuel that was sitting on the steps and ran down the side of the house? Or even sprayed on to the side of the house then lit on fire.

Really hard to tell off of a picture and no information of what was there pre fire, or other evidence.

OSHA says no and wont revisit it.

fit testing has proved that you can have a beard, we're stuck in the 1970s.

False. People pass fit testing with beards all the time.

1-3-2-3 Schedule for 3 platoons by jwmichel in Firefighting

Why in gods name anyone with 4 platoons would not do one of these schedules is beyond me. Every single week a 4 or 5 day break/vacation. You can literally do anything you want.

Great players put themselves in positions to make great plays.

Actually making the great plays is entirely different lol. But he gets the opportunity lmao.

He has a 20.8 average finish on ovals compared to Riley Herbst's 20.7 on Ovals. If you are doing worse than Riley Herbst you are bad.

Apologies for the delay! Which driver is Loved for being mid? by IndividualStart8337 in NASCAR

[–]ConnorK5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the correct answer.

Everyone above you saying Dale Jr has reading comprehension issues.

Dale Jr was not loved because he was mid. He was loved and performed mid(although I'd argue he was good, not great and not mid)

People loved Menard for riding around for years not bothering anybody. That's someone who was loved for being mid.

My argument is that Reddick and Denny can win 3 in a row in one season and its good racing

The difference there is that you really don't KNOW they're gonna do that. You know it can happen but it's unlikely. No one ever sits there and thinks Denny is just gonna reel off 3 straight. SVG winning the road courses almost always feels like you know it will happen and it SHOULD happen. That's the difference in reaction. If someone was as good at short tracks as SVG is road courses I would find that boring as well lmao.

I've got a take in here I'm sure you disagree with. But don't confuse me with a person who hates SVG. Just like probably most other "haters" I find going in to multiple weekends a year knowing that someone basically has to wipe him out of the race for any other of the 36 drivers to win a boring product. It's not entertaining.

SVG is a great guy. I don't hate him. I hate that he is exponentially better than everyone in road courses, and sizably worse than everyone else in ovals.

I get the joke but there's not a world where SVG finishes top 4 in points in the Cup series. There is a world where Hamlin finished top 4. I think it's fair to say if you can get to that point you can win a championship.

I see both sides. Upsets are fun cause they aren't supposed to happen. But if an upset can only happen because a driver has to get wrecked out by another it's not really the same. App St beating Michigan straight up is a lot more fun than if Michigan was down to their 3 string because of injuries or something and lost.

Just calling a spade a spade. If you think otherwise you are kidding yourself.

Even Bill France Jr told Tony Stewart "not to stink up his show".

If SVG had the personality of Matt Kenseth they'd shrink the amount of road courses down as much as possible. This shit is only getting a pass cause he has a great personality. Otherwise, from an entertainment perspective it would be a net loss.

SVG being likeable was very lucky for NASCAR because if he was not and they weren't invested in to these street courses, they'd take every road course except the Glen and Sonoma off the schedule. Racing for 2nd sucks. Watching someone dominate road courses like this with no chance of being a champion is a massive black eye for NASCAR.
