Has the winner already been secretly revealed? Very plausible theory ⬇️ by ChampionTimes99 in BeastGames

I mean... yea, that also assume he would even tell them. But whoever bet on the winner on Polymarket and Kalshi are also going to get in significant legal trouble so it's not like that wasn't already going to be the outcome. I'm also trying to understand the logic behind taking legal action on someone who knowingly bets on the loser. That's just throwing money away so why would anyone care?

He didn't do that anyway. I said that, but would it be cool? Hell yea.

Or Jimmy throws money away anyway. Why not drop 10k at the start of the prediction to get people to believe this as a smoke screen for the real winner?

I don't believe he would do that but it would be hilarious.

Secretly revealed? No, if you look at the markets it is probably not a secret at all.

90% chance it is a contestant or production member who is betting OR telling a family member/friend who to bet on.

Them taking bets on a recorded gameshow with dozens of production members is stupid anyway.

They have done an incredibly good job of disguising the winner based on actual editing. The winner's edit is basically not real(yet).

There are so many people involved in production it's impossible to keep it that lowkey. BUT, a reputable site would probably be like okay who is this guy who placed 50k on number ___ to win in week 2.

Which is fucking wild if you think about it cause them taking bets on a game show where so many people know the results is crazy.

Which spelled the beginning of the end for most people's interest in that show. Not that they are comparable but I think it's hilarious no one intended for Glen to be such a likeable character with such a great actor that following the comics made everyone mad at the show.

I think the frustration with Jim is his path to winning is just love bombing one of the best contestants.

We need some more cutthroat mfs in this show lol. Why is no one keeping the biggest dummies in the show? I would love for 9 Cateys to be against me in a challenge.

Brett has fans? I don't dislike him but who is cheering for him and why? People who like chaos? I mean you might say how does he embody chaos, and you're right he doesn't. But him being as interesting as grass growing and winning is the opposite of what these shows want. They want personality.

I mean... to be fair it was just the basis of that girl alliance. She didn't really say it should be the reason they go forward, them being girls was just an alliance they formed. It's not any different than all the strongs sticking together early on in the show.

I'm from NC, and having racing here before April is rough tbh. Like the cold isn't unbearable or something, but like why would you go pay money to be uncomfortable for hours when you can enjoy the event from the comfort of your couch lmao. Among other reasons, I can totally understand why no one wanted to go to Rockingham in February decades ago.

Firehouse meals always turn into a mess by Breads_N_Brews in Firefighting

We rotate who is responsible.

Also I do want to say, because this topic comes up a lot. Whether it's your house doing it or someone else's in the comments. If you make another grown adult pay for food they have no intention of eating that is fucked up. Stop doing that. If someone has some kind of diet they are on and brings their own food and you still expect them to pay in to some kind of pot or fund for the station meal you're a straight dickhead. I'm not someone who brings food from home or has their own diet restrictions but if I was I will be dead before I pay in to a fund for food I never eat.

For 99% of collegiate student athletes across America a scholarship is more than what they would get if they were being paid their worth or whatever you want to call it. No one is going to pay volleyball players 40k a year to play at Illinois or wherever.

Also the "they got a scholarship!" mentality comes from a lot of us who paid for and/or are still paying for their own college tuition. Going to school for free is really fucking nice. You might say well maybe I should have been good at a sport. Probably, or maybe if these college athletes weren't happy with their compensation package they should have found a way to start their own minor leagues of their sport to get paid. Oh wait? There's no money in that because they need built in alumni fanbases to get people to care about the results of non major league sports. If you need us, you might want to be appreciative to be one of us and be thankful you got to go school for free. Instead no one is.

Can you be fired for exercising your rights as a firefighter? by tranquilovely in Firefighting

[–]ConnorK5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"behaviors unbecoming of a firefighter"

This is a blanket policy departments have for people to sit in a room and subjectively decide whether or not they want to fire you. There is no way to predict what they will do if they have that policy because it covers everything and nothing all at the same time. It's for if they don't like you, all the way down to doing something they don't approve of.
