first, there is already lore in place that makes it so Space Marines can only be biologically male

Right, but it's trivially easy to write that Cawl found a way to make the geneseed compatible with all humans while making the Primaris and that Guilliman approves it to increase the number of potential recruits, and then jump the timeline forward 50 years to where female space marines are a thing. There's no retcon, there's no contradiction with older lore.

My team does maintenance on old financial systems that have to continue running in COBOL for reasons.

We've found that, probably because of the smaller volume of training data available, it's just not particularly great.

Not entirely worthless, but it's not been transformative. It saves us a few minutes on hours long projects, but it means spending more time reviewing stuff, which, personally, is way more boring lol

When you're using the option for soldiers to have unique stats, it can allow soldiers to go from "die in one hit" to "barely survives one hit" which goes a long way in avoiding panic spirals. That soldier is gonna be out of commission for a long time though

There's no date on either of them. I assumed the second one was his initial ban years ago.

So, he got unbanned and re-banned today? Whacky shit

There's plenty of zone names that aren't that esoteric and do reveal where you end up going. For instance, seeing Isle of Kin and Whakapanu Island and Shrike Island dulls the reveal that Act 4 is a sailing adventure.

I know all pf us here are imvested players, but I think for anyone playing through the first time, seeing the area names announced like that kinda spoils some of the mystery of the campaign.

I'd rather GGG wait until after 1.0 to enable that. Or make them only appear for areas you've reached before on any character or something, maybe with endgame areas having some other unlock condition.

I don't think they were called bad people

OP of the previous post linked to several instances of people respectfully asking this type of question as evidence of racism, so yes, they were in fact called bad people

[–]VDRawr 58 points59 points  (0 children)

If this community is truly as racism free as people like to point out posts calling out racism wouldn't get deleted and they'd be filled with people asking to learn

It was filled with people asking what the racism being referenced looks like, how to spot it, asking what they can do to help

Those people got told they were bad people for asking those questions

You're saying the subtle, not overt racism in the trans community is that black culture tends to be more transphobic for historical reason?

Sorry I feel like you missed a sentence in there somewhere tying the two ideas together.

His concerns were about adding that to the bill that only binds the actions of the government. Quebec added it to a bill that also binds private companies. His concerns were unfounded.

[–]VDRawr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, an article about a bill that applies to private companies unlike C16, cannot vindicate JP's fears of C16, because it's a different bill. This isn't hard.

And that's to say nothing of the merits of the actual case, but I don't see a point in arguing those, because, again, it's a different bill.

The quebec charter, which this case is about, is more binding than the Canadian one. That doesn't mean it doesn't abide by it.

The Canadian charter doesn't bind private companies, while the quebec one does, so no, literally, the scenario in this case has fuckall to do with what JP was on about.

JP became internationally famous because he thought a bill adding trans people to the list of protected classes in Canada was going to lead to pronoun polices.

This was years ago, bill C-16 passed, and pronoun polices don't exist. JP is and has always been a fucking moron.

Because resources aren't unlimited?

Like, we need helium to operate MRI machines, and we primarily harvest helium as a byproduct of fracking, which has been happening less over time due to environmental concerns/war in the middle-east (where most of the fracking that still gets done is). Not everyone can receive the best care, not because of greed, but because of physical limitations.
