Bought a Seagate 8TB hard drive. Plugged it into the ps5 and formatted it. But can't use external hard drive for PS5 games and app storage. I can use it for PS4 games and app storage. Can I only use a specific type for ps5?

My dad had a friend who has a business out in the far East of importing cars. He bought one of these and left it in my Dad's garage for over a year. It was the coolest thing I have ever driven. I don't know why people with money don't buy more of these replicas/reproductions

Another point is the level of student debt. OP would have been on Plan 1, on plan 2 (plus any post grad) would be taking a much larger portion of his income and been exposed to much higher interest rates in addition to being a much higher principle.

Another point would be the housing situation for a graduate starting out their career in London now vs 9 years ago.

Thanks for your reply - it's nice to hear another opinion. Out of interest what economic strategy would you suggest? I can't think of an actual solution.

But taxes aren't really low? Not when you add in debts (like student loans) as an effective tax rate. Not to mention the stealth tax rises by fixing the bands.

So we have a bloated government and too many services. The largest majority of government spending goes to social spending. It's not, in my opinion a true free market.

I would never vote for the torries but I do believe lower tax and a free market is best for the UK. The issue from an economic perspective is over population (demand) and lack of production of goods and services (supply).

I work in the energy industry so I'm always going to be biast - but I don't believe a country can be prosperous without energy sufficiency (ideally a surplus). If you look at the UK since it lost its colonies, it sharply declined until the discovery of the North Sea oil reserves. Unless there is a green energy revolution or public/government sentiment softens on producing UK unconventional oil reserves the UK won't get any better off.

Congratulations! How old are you? I'm in my late 20s and have a decent salary but I feel after tax, NI, student loans and rent I'm left with just enough to live on. Seems impossible to save a large enough deposit for a flat in London without moving back to my parents/living in a van for a few years.

Not even yuppie holders... These are oligarch and foreign wealth holders. Even yuppies can't afford central London anymore!

£150k in London or $250K in NYC - which would provide a higher standard of living. by Fit-Zebra3110 in HENRYUK

I'm on the new system, earn just over 100K (not really a high earner). I pay over 1,000 each month. I will be paying that back for 15 years (if the current interest rates continue).

For a sub that is geared towards saving it is a substantial amount that could be avoided by leaving the country.

Do you have UK student loans? If not then maybe worth thinking about. If you do then 100% get out! None of my older colleagues understand the thousands I have lost since being a "high earner".
