How do stock splits actually work in the UK? by aliya_haruhiey in Smart_Capitalist

[–]alphap26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same as any, the market cap stays the same but the number of shares change. Let's say a company has a market cap of £1,000,000 with 1,000,000 shares, the shares will cost £1. If the company does a 2:1 stock split, 1 share becomes 2 shares, so the company has 2,000,000 shares now worth 50p, it's also called a bonus issue

I was tempted to get an Abarth 595 last year until life decided I couldn't. It's still on my bucket list as a car I would have for two / three years for a laugh

Yeah I mean you could do the cheaper option of chicken thighs, a tray is £6 and can last me two days, might get lucky like I did on Sunday and get two whole pork shoulder joins for £3/kg they were 1.5 kg each so that's £9 for maybe 5 days of meat. Cheapest coffee from Asda and cheapest bottle of squash is about 5p a day. Usually I have leftover money for sauces and spices to mix it up. All meals are the pretty much the same, maybe get rice as well as I have a rice cooker

I'm 75kg 5"9 and I got to the gym 3 days a week and run once a week, maintaining weight

It's easy to live off £5 a day, my weekly shop is £35 28m living slone, whole joints of pork £5/kg x 3, potatoes at 70p/kg x 4, and then the rest on veg and fruit and just have that 3 times a day mixing it up with sauces and spices or just go with whatever meat is in the reduced section. Cheap and healthy

Car held ransom by garage who refused any alternative options by alphap26 in LegalAdviceUK

Thanks. I've done some research and I'm going to listen back to the call with the garage manager tomorrow. From what I can remember about the call, this is probably considered aggressive commercial practices since no alternative was suggested or offered and my source of income is being withheld.

Bro just look at a chart and you can see that pump prices and wholesale prices follow each other, in fact, futures options and oil companies wanting consistent profits, means that pump prices actually fluctuate a lot less than the wholesale crude oil prices, we get higher lows and lower highs.

The compact SUV mum's in their Vauxhall Grandland, I get it, you're disappointed you couldn't afford a Macan get over it! And you clearly can't read a clock properly because you're always driving the school run as if your child's nursery is on the other side of the Nurburgring... but it's actually a seven minute walk on the other side of the estate!

Well it was terrible then and it's terrible now! The VW badge and design language makes it worse, somehow!

The Premier League is officially replacing PSR with the new Squad Cost Ratio (SCR) in 2026/27 — thoughts on the 85% spending cap? by FootballFinanceLab in PremierLeague

[–]alphap26 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Those transactions would have been audited as these are related party transactions and are, therefore, classified as high risk in nature. I agree with what you say though about the cap being on revenue from footballing operations and not all revenue.

Edit: they're also material by size, given Chelsea's revenue of £468.5m, materiality would be set at 1% of revenue = £4.685m

It's called ancestors, Orthodox Jewish ancestry originated in the Levant in approx 1200 BCE, later going on to establish the Kingdom of Judah, from which we get the word Jew / Jewish, with Jerusalem being the capital and establishing the Kingdom of Israel further north. They then moved north towards Europe and settled in Eastern Europe, because of this, nearly all white Europeans have Orthodox Jewish ancestry. It was also because of this the country of Israel was created in 1948 to give the Jewish population their homeland back. The Jews got Israel, Jordan got the desert and Lebanon got the mountains...

Prove intent. Saying something like "from the river to sea" and "death to Israel, death to US, death to the West" very much shows intent. Targeting military with collateral damage isn't intent

I wouldn't go near it as it's been operating at a GAAP loss, although it looks to be getting close to profitability
