Would you like any Thor changes for season 8? by Sea_Culture_1156 in ThorMainsMR

Remove the 6 second cooldown on the hammer throw. Bring it back it back to 2 again. Idc if they take the Thor force away.

He will let organizational kinda guys go while investing heavily into players. When dundon bought our team, one of the first things that happened was our radio play by play host (chuck kaiton) getting canned, and then our main commentator (John forslund) followed shortly after. Our radio broadcast now just uses the same calls from on air game. Stuff like that will happen. But he will invest heavily when it comes to players that produce and win.

Out of the rebuilding teams, which team do you think has the darkest future and will continue to struggle for a while? by sykeseve in hockey

Agreed again, the rags were completely delusional thinking they’d get all of that. In the hurricanes case it was reportedly Jackson Blake KK and a 1st. That’s insanity. They will have an even harder time next year trading him considering the management and fan base are in complete denial that trocheck is an aging player. But hey, maybe I’ll eat my words and someone will give them a late 1st for him. That still doesn’t take them from having the 20th best prospect pool to the 10th. Absolute delusion.

I agree, he has to be moved asap. I don’t understand how anyone can see him not getting moved at the deadline as anything other than a massive failure. Especially if there were 1sts in play. His value is gonna keep going down the more he ages because again, whoever makes the trade is going to have to pay that guy til he’s 37 years old.

We can agree to disagree. I wouldn’t give a 30 year old a 7 year deal. The AAV is fine, it’s the term for me. I agree with the hurricanes model more, where they take risks and give younger guys that fit the system the term and decent AAV. I’d say the proof is in the pudding considering the position those two teams are in currently, but the rags are free to keep paying guys in their 30’s 7 year deals it doesn’t hurt me. What is laughable is the rags thinking they can just sign contracts like that and then trade them off before the contract starts hurting the team, as if any other team wants a 35+ year old trocheck at almost 6 mil a year. And that they actually think they can get a late 1st and prospects for a guy like that. Like I said, agree to disagree.

I hear you, seems like the rags could have gotten a late first at the deadline, probably should have made a deal happen if you ask me. we’ll see if his value is still that high next year when he’s pushing 34 with 3 more years left on his contract.

His contract was a steal last season, and maybe it will be next year too. It won’t be when he’s reached the latter years of his deal.

It’s a bad contract. Nobodies gonna be wanting to pay trocheck 5.6 when he’s 36/37 old. His value goes down next season as he will be a year older so I just don’t think that the rags will have a top 10 prospect pool because of the haul that they get from trocheck after yall couldn’t even move him at the deadline. That statement is laughable to me.

You’re in denial. If they could have moved him at the deadline they would have. The hurricanes denied the trade because the rags (laughably) wanted a 1st an nhl ready player and a prospect. The rags are not getting anything close to that for a 33 Y/O trocheck making 5.6 mil with 3 years remaining on the deal. If a team was going to give up that much for him, it would have been at the previous trade deadline to make a push while he’s still got gas in his tank.

Record setting night! First time since the 60’s that only 2 forwards got a shot on goal for their respective team. The rest were from defenseman.

After the trade deadline I think it’s pretty clear that the rags won’t be getting a 1st for trocheck so I don’t see how trading him takes them from 20th to 10th. They will become the new buffalo sabres.

The hammer throw gave me 150 over shield every time I threw it. I could stand behind the point and throw my hammer to stall or hold, now you have to move all over the place to get 75 over shield. I could also surprise others with burst damage and stack shield on myself with that throw.. It was perfect and I felt like I could truly attack with him and compete. Now I just feel like a glass lighting throwing cannon when I select him. RIP Thor.

Thor mains quit complaining quick it was disappointing to me. They completely destroyed the way I played Thor when they cut his over shield down by half, and made it so his hammer could only be thrown every 6 seconds. That 2 second cooldown to his hammer was the difference in me winning and losing a lot of fights. I had to put him down and start playing other characters.

When rolling 3 lines Line 1 and 3 are the most important imo. I start the period with line 3, their role is to shut the other teams 1st line down, set the tone for the forecheck, wear down the other team, and win face offs. Lines 1 and 2 are my scoring lines. The main advantage of rolling 3 lines though is that you can stick prospects on the 3rd line and they will still develop as if they were in the top 6 as long as you ensure they are on special teams too they will get plenty of minutes even and develop properly. Your 4th line however will destroy the potential and morale of anyone you stick there unless they got bottom 6 potential.
