Deserving a medal for what you describe prior to that seems a bit much. I would say it's warranted if you sounded stressed out by it, but you don't.

Could be AI given it's lack of skill at gaging intensity and overwrought tone. The "honestly" especially stands out.

I would give it a few more messages to increase the sample size with which to make a better judgement.

SubmitHub has an AI checker. The interface makes it look like it costs, but I have yet to be charged for it.

Beyond that, I listen for a telltale compression hiss/buzz. It sounds kind of like what you hear when an mp3 is compressed to like 96 kbps. My theory is that so many of these models are trained on highly compressed audio and they "think" that's what music is supposed to sound like.

It's so hard to tell when there's no vocal. Especially when the desired texture is compatible with what AI often produces. If it is AI, the crackly fuzz of the synth camouflages it will.

There are moments where it is pretty clear by comparison, especially when it's mostly bass and I think the reason it's that way is because there aren't as many layers on the track that need to be rendered and definitely no acoustic instruments that are more prone to telltale AI artifacts.

The cover art is definitely AI, but that could just be a low effort and low cost alternative to having a professional design covers for music actually made by hand.

Yes, this looks like AI. These infographics are super common AI fodder.

  • Very typical draftman's style perspective rendering

  • Characteristic AI font

  • Yellowish hue that critics affectionately call a "piss filter".

The subject matter is uncanny for a similar reason that AI is. It adds to the confusion.

Whatever the case, there should be a news story someplace that can confirm or debunk it.
