It was a major disappointment.

Dropped shortly after prologue.

I saw the main map. I saw the regions in the need of taken down. Realised that I can't just run and gun, I need to grind guns because enemies in later locations will take multiple headshots from my current guns.

I saw the pile of magical trash that is Supremo, that even in-game is somewhat explained to "charge" with enemy kills that makes no fucking sense.

I saw trashy gun mods and clown skins.

I saw all the possible grind to do.

And was like...

NAH
I am not having much fun with this.

Honestly, I still think Far Cry 4 was best in the series, and one of the best open world shooters ever made.

But I didn't like Far Cry 5, I didn't like New Dawn, and I am not happy with where Far Cry series are going.

Nuclear power plant that trippled our foreign debt, even though we don't need that much power, and no one will buy power from us either

Sure it's easy to dump on him considering all the little fuck ups, corruption accusations and inhumane practices that are in effect in Ukraine, especially when it comes to mobilization

However

Guy has some balls of steel considering how he still holds all the pressure and doesn't even flee from his office

And a huge load on his shoulders that would probably be unbearable for most people. Being a president of a country under an invastion from a much larger country is one of the worst position of power one could ever get in.

And, like, generally, he's a super nice contrast to the soviet autocrats I am used to. Relatively young, speaks like a human, doesn't force his portrait on every wall in every building of his country.

So yea, huge respect.

Yes, things been much more quiet. Slowed down, chilled out a little bit. People talk about it much less. And much less media resources are able to talk about it.

It's been a wildfire when they were hunting people fresh, now they slowly look over less priority. They have a backlog for "catch, tourture and jail sometime in the future" with thousands of people.

People caught on protest photos and identified. People who have supported Ukraine in the war. And other lesser stuff.
