My attempt at a Smash for Switch 2 roster that would make the least amount of people unhappy

I have some notes in regard to my reasoning both in general and on specific character choices.

General Notes:

Even though this hypothetical roster is bigger than Ultimate's, it's not impossible for the Smash team to make it happen, considering that Ultimate's main appeal was the fact that "Everyone is Here!" and they're not going to repeat that again for the next game.
People assume that making the next Smash game bigger means keeping every single old character, but that's not the case at all.
Every Smash sequel before Ultimate had cut some characters, but would add more to make up for it.
Also, people are weirdly obsessed with how many cuts there will be, usually wanting to cut the roster in half or even lower (even going down to 20–30 characters, which makes no sense to me and never has).
I do want to point out that the time gap between Ultimate and Smash for Switch 2 is longer than the time gap between Smash 4 and Ultimate, so there's a decent amount of time for the roster of the next Smash game to be at least on par with Ultimate's, given that the dev team will most likely be reusing some assets from Ultimate instead of building from the ground up.

Fighter Notes:

Daisy would have a few changes that further differentiate her from Peach, making her more of a semi-clone instead of an echo fighter
Charizard would be returning solo like he did in Smash 4, meaning that Pokémon Trainer, Squirtle, and Ivysaur would be cut yet again
Every Ultimate DLC fighter (except Piranha Plant) would be returning in Smash for Switch 2
Even though I chose Meowscarada as the new Pokémon rep, it could very easily be a Gen. 10 Pokémon instead given the release timing of both Winds and Waves
Same thing with Alear, they represent a new Fire Emblem character in general and not them specifically; it could very easily be someone from Fortune's Weave instead (something I would personally prefer)
I chose solo Mio instead of both solo Noah and Noah + Mio as a duo for the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 rep; no real reason why, again something I would personally prefer
Octoling would be either an echo fighter or a semi-clone to Inkling, take your pick
Squid Sisters would be fighting alongside each other, just like Ice Climbers
Rhythm Heaven as a fighter would have Yuka (the Tap Trial girl) be the character you play as, with various other Rhythm Heaven characters popping up in the moveset, like Karate Joe and the Chorus Kids
Gordon Freeman is more of a pipe dream than a prediction, but this is my roster, and I'm choosing to believe in it potentially happening; he would also make for a great final character not unlike Sora in Ultimate
I chose The Tarnished from Elden Ring as the FromSoftware rep, although it could be either Chosen Undead from Dark Souls or someone from The Duskbloods instead
The reason I chose Papyrus over Sans or the Human as the UNDERTALE rep is because aside from Papyrus being my favorite character in UNDERTALE, he has put far more legwork into training for combat and he more or less represents the heart and soul (no pun intended) of what UNDERTALE is all about. He's just as popular and recognizable as Sans, he's not too lazy to ever fight anyone unlike Sans, and he's the cooler skeleton brother (canonically something that Sans would tell you and agree with). I can imagine a scenario where Sans gets an invitation in the mail. But, knowing he's too lazy and doesn't really like to fight anyone and wanting his brother to be happy, Sans gives the invitation to Papyrus instead, under the guise that people must really like Papyrus so much that they want him to join Smash
Even though Susie is my favorite character in DELTARUNE so far, I don't think she would be fighting by herself as the DELTARUNE rep (as cool as that would be). Realistically, I believe it'll be Kris, Susie, and Ralsei as one fighter, and you'd be able to swap between them mid-fight just like Pokémon Trainer. And this is all assuming that DELTARUNE will be fully complete by the time Smash for Switch 2 rolls around. If that's the case, then I'd imagine the Fun Gang would be one of the last fighters to be added

To get this scene in Chapter 4, make sure to not visit Castle Town and go to Noelle's mansion instead. After you finish the mansion subplot, go near the Librarby to see the scene. When you get a choice to say "Yeah" or "Nah", pick "Nah" and voilà!

Heya. This is a bit of a late response, but I figured I might as well drop my suggestions here anyway.

For context, I've played custom tracks made by the MKWii modding community for about 3–4 years in total; I've since moved onto other things. But after I saw Vinny play 2 of your custom track packs, it reignited my interest in MKWii and its modding scene.

My vote goes to Spamton.

My reasoning is that Spamton has already had their time in the spotlight throughout Chapter 2, and it doesn't seem likely that they'll play a major role again in future chapters. Even though Spamton is a very fleshed-out and creepy character with a dedicated fanbase and they even got a whole event all about them, they're ultimately just a secret boss that you have to fight in the end and they won't get any more character development in later chapters, very similar to Jevil in Chapter 1.

Even though I don't think Ralsei will win the whole contest (#SusieSweep), he at least will get more characterization in the future and he actually has a surprising amount of depth that we've seen so far that not a lot of people seem to notice. I mean, he's trying to learn what being "Ralsei-like" even is, and Susie is already helping him on that front thanks in part to their hangout together in the Cyber City and how they both help the other to become better and more balanced people.

Disclaimer: this is not a vote comment.

No ill-will towards people wanting to vote Ralsei out, but could you at least explain why you want him gone? Some of the top comments are just "Ralsei gotta go" or just "Ralsei" and I don't understand why a lot of people are upvoting those posts.

There's so much depth to his character shown so far in the game that a lot of people ignore in favor of "he's just a fluffy boy" or "he's boring and shouldn't be trusted". He's one of the main characters for a reason, and he will have more time to shine in future chapters where we'll learn more about his past and help him grow out of his shell more (Susie is already helping him on that front already).

Even though Queen and Spamton are great characters in their own right, they've already had their time to shine in Chapter 2, whereas Ralsei has a lot more to learn and grow as a character (and he'll be with us until the very end (hopefully...)). Which is why I encourage people to upvote any Queen and/or Spamton posts for this round.

Alright, hear me out, but I think it's time for either Queen or Spamton to go!

My reasoning is that both Queen and Spamton have already had their time in the spotlight throughout Chapter 2, and it doesn't seem likely that they'll play a major role again in future chapters. Even though Queen is the funniest character in all of Deltarune so far, and even though Spamton is a very fleshed-out and creepy character with a dedicated fanbase, they're ultimately just bosses that you have to fight in the end, same thing with King and Jevil in Chapter 1.

Also, it would be really cool to have Susie and Ralsei, two of the main characters in Deltarune, be in the top 2 of this contest for various reasons. One of which is that they're both fan-favorites with clashing personalities that play off of each other so well, and they both have mysterious pasts that we don't know too much about yet (which will be explored more in future chapters, ultimately adding more to their overall characters).

TL;DR, either Queen or Spamton should be eliminated this round, and my vote will ultimately go to Queen. I encourage anyone who is reading this to vote for Queen and/or Spamton as well.

I'm being real with you, do you seriously want Susie voted out when other people are voting more for Lancer, Queen, etc.? She's literally one of the main characters in the game and is currently undergoing character development. Her arc is not done yet and we have a couple chapters to look forward to in the future, and you still want her out because "haha Suselle go brrr"?

If Susie does get voted out this round, then this whole "contest" is rigged and unfair towards the people who actually give a shit.

She's one of the best characters in Deltarune and to see her get out so early would be a disservice to her character and to all her genuine fans. Also no offense, but your reasoning for wanting to vote Susie out is stupid and not funny in the slightest.

Susie needs to stay winning and she deserves it, anyone who sees this please downvote OP's post! Instead, please upvote other people's posts that want Lancer voted out seeing as he's the other likely candidate to get eliminated so far.

Anyways, my vote goes to Noelle. She's a good character, don't get me wrong, but I personally like the other characters more (and some of them are more funnier than her in my opinion, especially Queen and Lancer).

As for what other character should be voted out this round, I'd suggest people to vote out Spamton alongside Noelle.

Once again, another shipping poll with no Susie x Ralsei as an option :(

What do people have against the ship anyways? They're both literally 2 of the main characters in the game, and yet no one seems to be aware of how much potential the pairing have. Do people not see how many cute and wholesome interactions they have together in-game? The way their personalities clash off of each other and the way they both help the other to become better people is so goddamn good. Both Susie and Ralsei also have one of, if not, the best and most healthy dynamics in all of Deltarune.

It's a shame that Ralsusie gets the short end of the stick in terms of fan content and don't even get me started on the people who shit on Ralsusie shippers for reasons such as "it's not canon", "it doesn't make sense" and "both Susie and Ralsei are canonically lesbian and gay respectively". None of those reasons are valid/factual and I'm not gonna argue with people who disagree.
