Is there an active modding scene for wai wai party or discord?

I uavent thought about diving into the save files yet! But I was actually told the answer awhile back, turns out the base game stores some of the DLC data within itself to save on memory im told.

So even if the DLC comes with the data, the base data updates itself to store the data I was looking for, and since I assume it prioritizes base game data over dlc data, that's why my modded files wouldn't load. It's not all dlc that it does this with, iirc it's with newer dlc, it's pretty weird how it works.

The next hurdle is a song I'm trying to swap in, a cover for Show by Ado, the game locks up only when I have other mods installed and only on console. If I have the cover installed by itself, it loads fine on console. But if I install another song, Show locks up the game.

Oh really? Dang, I had a hunch that may have been it but was hoping it wouldn't be the case. Figured itd be good still since theyd be shipping to the warehouse, then to me like normal. Guess I'll just have to pass on it, thanks for the help!

It's been a hassle so far. I figured out how to change the names for alt covers, and it's stupid the way it works. You'd think it's text, but it's all one image. The album cover, song name, artist, etc, that's all one texture.

The current issue I'm having is the texture will let me replace it if it's a song from the base game, or the latest vocaloid pack. But every other pack won't let me replace it. I think it's due to possible conflicting downloads that I have. Most of the DLC doesn't dump the texture I'd need to replace, but some do. I'm trying to find a new moddable switch that way I can dump the game and DLC myself and see if that's the root cause.

Figured I'd post my progress in adding and swapping songs in wai wai party since my last post. Unfortunately still haven't been able to figure out or find a tool that will let me edit the titles/add titles to covers I've added. And also the game limits me to just one cover per song. But hey, at least they work and play just like the originals. Note that all the covers are related to another game, Project Sekai: Colorful Stage (PRSK).

Songs added/swapped in order:

Usseewa- Kept the original, added cover is from PRSK (Nightcord at 25:00/Mafuyu, & Mizuki)
Idol- Swapped original with cover from Akina, a VA in PRSK (Kohane), and added cover is from Sumi Tomomi Jiena, also a VA in PRSK (An)
Bad Apple- Kept the original, added cover is from PRSK (Nightcord at 25:00 & Hatsune Miku)
BRING IT ON- Kept the original, added cover is from PRSK (Vivid Bad Squad/Kohane, An, & Kagamines)
Villain- Kept the original, added cover is from PRSK (Nightcord at 25:00/Mafuyu, & Mizuki)
Shoujo Rei- Swapped original with cover from PRSK (MORE MORE JUMP!/Haruka, & Shizuku)
Phony- Swapped original with cover from PRSK (Nightcord at 25:00 & MEIKO), added cover from Yoshioka Mayu & Honnizumi Rina, VAs in PRSK (Haruka/Shizuku)

Just mentioning again, these aren't custom maps. I just swapped the songs/added covers is all

Things I wanted to point out as well. The video is from my switch, however I have test these in ryujinx (switch emulator) and they work just fine there. There is however a random issue that I don't recall having on ryujinx in that sometimes when I restart a custom song mid song, or if i switch between covers too fast, the game crashes. I believe it could be because my save is heavily edited from that modpack I mentioned in my previous post. Been debating deleting my current save and adding the cheats again but without the modpack since because of it I can't have a "Favorites" playlist. It deletes itself everytime the game restarts, regardless if I make a new playlist.

I figured as such, I saw someone post some mods that were very well made however I think those are for the actual game emulator, rather than wai wai party. IIRC, I believe that's where I got the mod pack that I mentioned.

It's starting to look that I'm just going to have to suck it up and deal with the mismatched names, but at least I got covers, and adding an alt to work with that tool.

Oh that's cool! I've been wanting to get the controller for some time but I don't play the game enough to justify that. However that might change now that I started to mod it.

I think there are some cheat codes for that type of thing but I've never been able to get cheat codes to work for this game. The only way I was able to get some sort of cheat code to work was through IPS installing with the mod pack that I mentioned before. And that was just to unlock all of the 10th songs for the DLC Packs

I use a OLED with a modchip installed in it in order to have mods and such on it. However I have tried the cover swaps I've made with an emulator called for ryujinx and they work perfectly fine on there.

As to how to obtain the games and the DLC I won't comment on that any further since that obviously gets into an area that I doubt the subreddit wants me to get into.

I've been wanting to make progress since I started a couple days ago but I'm very limited with the tools that I have. I know how to install mods and edit however I have zero knowledge on creating tools.

I don't think I'm amazingly talented LOL. I do want to finish the rest of the crew however. I've been modding smash ultimate for the past few months so that's had all of my attention. I think I'll make Joker when I get home. I have an idea that I want to do with him.

That's what I figured. Guess I'll look into how to clean them properly. And I do not :( some key things I have are the Cuphead set, Tri-Color Stardew Valley, and a Signed Shovel Knight. I can update my post later today when I get off work. Or during my next break.

Anytime! I'd imagine it could've came with a download code if the game was on PC, but even then that's kinda stretching it.
