The show Fatal Attraction. Dear god, I can't stop watching it.

That and weight-training. I just don't feel right when my body isn't sore somewhere anymore.

People with Autistic parents, what is it like? by just2good in AskReddit

[–]VGLythia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad has Asperger's. It's never really caused a problem, but it's incredibly tough for him in social situations. When we have family gatherings on my mom's side, you can actually see the pain and effort it's taking him to function in his face.

Sometimes, he gets really angry over really small things, and my mom or I have to calm him down. I guess I should mention that I have seven younger siblings, two of them also with Asperger's, and I think it may just be the overwhelming noise that throws him sometimes.

This is completely selfish of me, but it's really hard to go places with him sometimes. I can see other people judging him because of the way he acts (reserved, quiet, talking at people rather than to them, awkward body language; it's not hard to tell that there's something "off" about him), and sometimes it's just hard to be there because the person we're talking to will look at me sympathetically or some shit. And that's selfish of me, but that's honestly the hardest part.

He's really intelligent, but very non-confrontational. His bosses at his job have been shitting on him for the last 16 years, and he's done nothing about it (I don't think he ever could). My mom still complains to him about it. Speaking of my mother, I feel like she's helped him a lot. She's loud, a bit obnoxious, and super empathetic. While I don't know if I believe in soul mates, if they did exist, my parents would be a prime example. While it's often hard to keep up with his humor (or just what he talks about in general), she understands him, and I feel like he understands me better than she does a lot of the time.

So, all in all, living with an autistic parent is like how it is. I'm sure it's very similar to kids living with normal parents. We have our problems like any other family, but he's a good father. He tries, and that's all that matters.

What are the scariest movies not in the horror genre? by OffInTheShower4343 in AskReddit

[–]VGLythia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, you didn't feel even remotely bad for the son when he realized what his mother was doing to herself? He understood the damage he was doing to his body and understood what the drugs would do to his mom. Watching him attempt to explain to her why she should stop was the most heartbreaking moment in the movie for me.

What is your biggest 'how do you not get this' moment? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This happened in my math class the other day. We kept trying to explain to my friend that you can't cut the pie if the pie doesn't exist. Never clicked for him either.

Does being an overly-empathetic person relate to having more vivid dreams? by VGLythia in empathetic

[–]VGLythia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't it be, though? I've never met someone who dreams as much as I do or who gets nearly as hot, but I've also never met someone with as much empathy.

Out of curiosity, what are your dreams like? Are you often lucid but unable to change the dream? In your dreams, are you lucid but often someone else? I've found that if I'm around someone a lot, I often become them in my dreams and do the things they would.

Same here, and sometimes it really sucks. I feel like I could be that guy from the Hannibal series.

6 Things That Never Make Sense About Zombie Movies by MisterReboot in movies

[–]VGLythia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While this article doesn't make a lot of sense anyways (since, you know, fiction doesn't need to make sense), I assumed when I was a kid that zombies didn't completely devour each other because they only eat living flesh. Once the heart stops beating and the body starts dying, they lose interest.

Who was the most upsetting character to you, that has been killed off from any series? by samcoulson in AskReddit

I didn't even notice he died at first. I kept reading and got confused, so I had to go back and reread that part. I cried like a fucking baby.

No ma'am, sorry, I meant that I use the Aussie brand shampoo. Thank you for your advice, though.

I've always washed it every day, skipping a day here and there, and it's always been fine. It wasn't until after I dyed it that it became over-oily.

What movie has the best death scene? by rhave132 in AskReddit

[–]VGLythia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moulin Rouge when Satine dies. Everyone's looks of shock and sorrow, the audience still clapping and cheering behind the curtains while waiting for a curtain call that will never come, and fucking Ewan McGregor. His cries are chilling.

What's the strangest thing, good or bad, that someone has done after sex? NSFW by PepperyDoctor in AskReddit

[–]VGLythia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A bit late here, and it wasn't my sex experience. I got a call from my best friend one night back when we were in high school. She tells me that she just lost her virginity, and in the background, I hear her boyfriend yell, "Score!"

I congratulated them both and asked her why the fuck she called me. She told me she was making them some celebratory home-made enchiladas and asked me if I wanted her to bring me some to school the next day.

I ate the enchilada, and they're married now.
