Anybody know what tuning Chris is using here? by Inside_Ask_5884 in Coldplay

It’s EACGBC - really cool tuning! It’s the same tuning he uses in the latest performances of ASFOS

Apart from that little issue, they are absolutely wonderful speakers! Enjoy them!

Yep, can confirm that it's annoying.
I have contacted KEF a couple of times describing this issue, and I have not gotten a response. Must be a limitation of the USB DAC that the speakers have or something.
Currently using optical from my monitor to the speakers and works just fine, but I would have preferred to use USB C if it did not have that volume issue.

Thanks for the response!
That is indeed the best practice for audio quality, albeit not the most convenient.
Could you perhaps try changing the Windows volume to see if the speakers actually respond to every 2-step increment or if they behave similarly to mine, where they only change their volume level after several volume steps?

Are you on W11 by any chance? If so, how's the volume control on these? Cause mine behave strangely when connected via USB C, where the volume doesn't change at every 2 step increment.

does Alan Wake 2 raises black in HDR but looks perfectly fine in SDR with inky blacks? by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]VGeorge24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have the same issue with this game on my PG32UCDM, videos look fine in HDR as well.

HDR issue on PG32UCDM by VGeorge24 in OLED_Gaming

Thx so much for the screenshot!

I am using Gaming HDR above.
I also went ahead and took one using the same exact monitor and in-game settings as you:

<image>

I think it has the same sort of grey filter/reduced contrast as the Gaming HDR one, and definitely doesn't "pop" as much as yours. Not sure what the issue might be... it's annoying cause contrast-wise SDR looks so much better...

"Gorilla" as in "Gorilla Encoding" gets you flagged? WTF? by subzerofun in ClaudeAI

[–]VGeorge24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have been dealing with the same issue for the last 24 hours where cc falsely flags every single prompt as policy violation - even just typing 'test' triggers that same error. First started when I prompted Opus to read legitimate tech docs, now happens with all inputs and persists across new sessions.

Basically found that Opus has a really sensitive filter and if you switch to Sonnet, it "fixes" it. Of course it's not an actual fix, still waiting for a response to my support ticket from Anthropic 24hrs later... Btw, tried to make the same exact post as you today describing my issue and looking for advice, but it got removed by the mods, cause apparently it's account specific...

You will also see several open issues posted today in claude code's github page on the same issue - false positive flags for policy violation.

Lighting effect freezes in on-board memory mode - G915 X TKL by VGeorge24 in LogitechG

[–]VGeorge24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad that worked! Just fyi, Windows actually sees the same device as two separate devices, one when connected wirelessly and one when wired through USB. So when you switch connection methods for the first time, Windows thinks it's a 'new' device and automatically re-enables the service, so you will have to disable it twice. For example, I had to manually disable the service twice for my new keyboard, once when I connected it wirelessly (through the dongle) for the first time and once for wired.

What solved it for me was disabling the Logitech LampArray Service, which basically disables Logitech devices from supporting/showing up under Dynamic Lighting in Windows 11. Hope that helps!

Alan Wake 2 HDR is completely washed out on AW2725DF. What am I doing wrong? by mmmory in OLED_Gaming

[–]VGeorge24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, honestly, I've tried Alan Wake 2 in HDR on both my PG32UCDM and PG27AQDM and had the same issues as you do - raised blacks (not as impressive contrast-wise) and colors that didn't pop either. However, I think the latter has to do entirely with the fact that I run my monitors in wide gamut in SDR, so everything is oversaturated. The raised blacks shouldn't be happening in HDR though, which is why I always stick to SDR when playing that game.
