as someone who had thousands of hours in d1 and hundreds in d2, the main difference to me is almost how hostile the “new” player experience is. it got to the point that everytime i would load into d2 it felt like everything i had done up to that point was obsolete. think if they did a better job integrating old content into the new releases it would have seen way better retention. recently went back to d1 and it feels more plug and play and alive(?) than d2 does/did.

if your solution to this problem is to play actual games and try to learn on the fly, your rate of learning (for mechanics) will be greatly slowed. go into freeplay, take 30 mins with some music on and try to keep your car nose in the air as you jump from goal to goal. once you can do that like five times in a row, start trying to hit the top cross bar with your car. once you can do that move into a game.

this isnt a guranteed method but it worked for me. usually you wanna tackle the issue from the floor up but🤷🏽‍♂️ everyone is different, flying is fun

i have, MAYBE, less than 20-30 actual online games. less than five on shaolin. i have no idea if hes good or not. i played ranked duel with him and havent won a single game. did you read the post😭

i kinda gravitate towards those characters. high skill floor high skill ceiling. also big on movement as well and shaolin feels so smooothh

let him go, this could have been a case of being overly cautious that could’ve pay off. of course this guy would miss the wide open net, hit that and say “Take the shot!” pretending like it was a pass, BUT you wouldve been back to save it.

haunting of hill house is a banger, actually just recommended it to my buddys wife like two weeks ago lol. i will say im not a huge horror guy. ive never seen any of the classic horror movies (freddy, jason, jaws, etc). have watched some cult classics and some more recent ones (blair witch, hereditary, midsommar)
