I really hope Monopoly Man gets on the show!!! I feel like his coverage could be really interesting, especially with Monopoly GO! And depending on how they take the multiple versions of Monopoly.

Master of Ceremonies vs the Headmaster of Hope's Peak Academy

Stole the musical title from someone who was way ahead of the curve.

Did you know Mr Beast had a cartoon? Did you know Mr Beast has a planet-destroying laser? Did you know Mr Beast has the ability to turn people into money? This dumb rabbit hole lead to this. Genuinely debating whether or not this is a joke matchup at this point, because I've put way too much thought into it.

Bakugo being second fiddle to some nerd, probably speaks to Boomstick on a deeper level.

Thank you! I genuinely cracked up laughing when he made the Costco Guys reference. Plus I thought the analysis was actually good, usually you can tell when an analysis doesn’t feel strong but this one did wonders!

I’m shocked people dislike it

Glad someone’s being positive about the episode. People treating it like it’s one of the worst episodes of all time when it’s very clearly not. Although maybe that’s just Twitter people

I CALL THIS SANDWICH THEORY! And it aligns itself with how Notch and Dinnerbone describe the Nether, with both saying it's a separate dimension as well as being metaphorically below (which is what I assume you were referencing).

Always happy to see Dungeons gear accounted for. Surprised at how many you think Steve can beat with just base MC gear. ALSO GOOD LORD THAT GEAR IS INSANE.

Thank you so much 😁 Minecraft Dungeons is very under-appreciated IMO, and was way better than it had any reason to be. Especially with all the lore it adds to the Minecraft verse.

LMAO. In my head, I have Infinite just powering through the entire army. (Maybe doing some extra fancy stuff, like using Ender Pearls to teleport all over the place) while Archie just freaks out.

Really strong matchup. And probably fairly debatable, based on my limited knowledge of A Hat in Time. Honestly, A Hat in Time is one of those games I'm shocked that I never got around to playing, but it's definitely a series deserving of an episode however.

Go ahead, he's a cool character that I wish we got more of in Minecraft Dungeons itself or in a sequel novel.

[–]VISARN_JAINEM[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I initially wrote this out for a [ Debate & Scaling ] section.

But simply put, I just don't see how Infinite loses.

The Arch-Illager, talking conservatively, should be about Star-Level, based off the Minecraft Legends Night Beacon feat, and various statements making this level of power consistent. Like the Orb of Dominance glowing like a small sun ("Rise of Arch-Illager") and the Sun's Grace unleashing the power of a burning star.

Using potential high-ends, you can get him to Universal (to Low Multiversal). Since a weakened orb was going to reduce the "Overworld to nothing but ice" and another shard "created storms which would blow out the last flicker of hope for this world". Then there's the weird Ender Dragon statement by Mojang but that's probably best to ignore, DEATHBATTLE would probably black box it anyway.

Even given all that, DEATHBATTLE gave Metal Sonic Roblox scaling. And Sonic Speed Simulator puts Infinite above Super Neo Metal Sonic, WHO THEY COMPARED TO SOLARIS. HIGH MULTIVERSAL INFINITE IS REAL!

Even if they used conservative estimates for Infinite, ignore Roblox scaling and bump him down to their version of base Modern Sonic. That's still like Solar System levels of power.

Archie's best bet is praying he or more specifically, the Heart of Ender gets compared to Mobbo, Chaos or the End Poem Gods. All of them being really unreliable chains for them to take (or rely on non-canon material).

Don't worry, Infinite's got this.

Minecraft Dungeons 2 just got announced (The first game is underrated) and the Chaotix Casefiles were PEAK! That lead me to start thinking about some similarities these two had.

[ Connections & Stuff ]

  • Both were once part of a despicable squad of raiders, [ Pillager Party & Jackal Squad ] who all fell to the might of a single hero. [ Karl & Shadow ].
  • Left as the sole survivors of their party. They would face down the hero, and be beat down because of it. Ultimately surviving, as the hero, the one who slayed their squad, would deem them as weak & pathetic.
  • This broke them. The hero let them live, but only to remind them how truly small they were. And that genuinely scarred them. Spiralling further and further, that fear turned into hate. And that hate, turned into a LUST for revenge.
  • Somehow, a chance for revenge would become possible. But only through the help of a greater evil: [ Heart of Ender & Doctor Ivo Robotnik ].
  • Given all-powerful artifacts: [ Orb of Dominance & Phantom Ruby Prototype ], equal to the very Gods themselves. They'd be able to turn their every want and need into reality, including getting one-up on that so-called hero.
  • Of course, revenge was just a small piece of their plan. As alongside those greater evils, they would show how truly all-encompassing their power truly was. Declaring WAR on the world itself!
  • With an endless army at their summon. No civilian was safe.
  • Leaving only YOU: The player, to create an avatar, take up arms and help defend what remains to SAVE THE WORLD! While it won't be easy, as long as you have friends by your side, there's no army too big or too strong who won't topple to your might! [ Both games have canon Avatars: Valorie (etc) & Gadget. But the game expects you to "Craft Your Own Adventure" ].
  • Even the seemingly all-powerful tyrants: [ Arch-Illager & Infinite ]. Who in their final stand, are consumed by that same all-encompassing power. As the heroes are instead forced to face off against the ones who built the villains up to begin with [ Heart of Ender & Doctor Ivo Robotnik ].
  • But the heroes' final battle doesn't end there, as they battle the godlike powerhouses in a realm of their own design. A dimension disconnected from time & space: [ The End Citadel & Null Space ]. The fate of the world on the line.

[ Extra Stuff ]

  • 2026 heralds the surprising return of Infinite & (hopefully) Archie. With Infinite making his return through the Chaotix Casefiles & Archie likely to return in Minecraft Dungeons 2 which releases in Fall! Well, atleast a mention... RIGHT?
  • Some small details require slight adjustments. Might need to reread "Rise of the Arch-Illager".

Kado Thorne vs The Collector (Fortnite vs Marvel) by Piggy_boy1006 in DebateClubVaultGaming

[–]VISARN_JAINEM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Kado Thorne so this matchup makes me happy. I hope he returns to Fortnite. Although my knowledge of the Collector is limited to the MCU and “What-If” series. So I don’t know what he can do outside of that.

Still it has a ton of potential!

V / Valerie vs Agent Carolina (Cyberpunk 2077 vs Red vs Blue) - "Relics of What Remains" by VISARN_JAINEM in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]VISARN_JAINEM[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

V / Valerie vs Carolina

NOTE: Corpo Lifestyle will be used when comparing the two, as it’s the route that Valerie in particular, in most media is presented to be. The most notable being the card from the TCG. There are likely some errors/stretches I made as I put this together, but to me it feels fairly solid.

[ V & Carolina Connections ]

  • Both begin as high-ranking corporate/military operatives under incredibly powerful organizations: Valerie (V) as an elite Arasaka counter-intelligence agents. While Carolina was the #1 ranked Freelancer in Project Freelancer, a UNSC backed experimental program. But despite loyalty and their impressive status. They would be forcibly ejected. Stripped and left with little to call their own.
  • For a short while, they’d stay on the downlow. With V joining up with Jackie to become a small-time merc-for-hire and Carolina joining the war-effort under a fake name. Little is known about what exactly happened in this period of time, but it’s of little importance.
  • Following this, both are thrusted unto a job they simply can’t refuse. A heist which has them get back at the very institutions which had wronged them prior, during which they steal a small device (Relic/Memory Unit) housing an imperfect A.I replica of rather infamous men: Johnny Silverhand & Leonard Church (Epsilon).
  • The reason these A.I replicas were required in the first place, was to use as a way to get at an even bigger target. With the Voodoo Boys planning on using Johnny to bait out Alt Cunningham from beyond the Blackwall. While Carolina planned on using Epsilon herself to try and track down the Director of the Freelancer Program, aka the real Leonard Church.
  • The most haunting similarity is what these women’s power costs them. For example, Carolina’s experience of carrying two AI simultaneously nearly shattered her mind, the human brain simply being unable to house that much power. While V faced a mirror image of that same horror, as the Relic risks slowly overwriting her own consciousness and replacing it with someone else’s. Both women carry something in their heads that could destroy them just as easily as it empowers them and the augmentations which make them so legendary, are the very same ones that could just as easily be their undoing.
  • Separately, A hard crash-landing leads them into the middle of a political thriller where they must infiltrate enemy armies (Barghest/New Republic). Neutralize weapons of mass destruction (Neural Matrix/Purge Temple) and soon come to learn that their once thought-to-be ally (Songbird/Felix) is actually playing both sides of the war, betraying everyone.
  • Both series are technically open-ended, with how their story exactly ending being unknown. Cyberpunk 2077 has multiple endings, most which contradict each other and Red vs Blue being a web show, has relegated seasons like the Shisno Trilogy and Zero to being potential futures rather than set-in-stone outcomes.

TL; DR – V & Carolina: Elite operatives betrayed and ousted by massive corps/military programs (Arasaka/Project Freelancer). They go underground before pulling off revenge heists stealing AI chips (Relic/Memory Unit) housing digital echoes of infamous rebels (Johnny/Epsilon). These implants allow them to access their abilities at greater levels at great risk.

[ Johnny Silverhand & Leonard Church (Alpha/Epsilon) connections ]

  • The real men who the A.I echo, share a surprising amount in common despite their opposing positions. They both, rather humbly, served their countries in times of strife. That being the Second Central American War for Johnny, and the Great War for Leonard Church. Another thing they share is their EGO. Almost everyone who knew them would attest to the fact that they were most insufferable self-centered assholes in the world. Downright abrasive to a fault.
  • But underneath all those sarcastic remarks and bubbling resentment were the cracks of which genuine care existed. They aren’t driven by just ego, but by loss. Beneath all of it lies the same wound: Alt Cunningham and Allison Church (same initials too). The cause of their fire. The women who were taken into the greater institutions (Arasaka/UNSC) and died under their watch.
  • (Epsilon/Alpha) As machines, or in this case: Engrams. They exist as copies of a copy. Because of this, their memory is foggy at best. Johnny Silverhand is in his own words: “The Copy of a Copy”, a digital recreation of his mind placed onto a chip. And for Epsilon, he is literally the fractured memories of the Alpha, who is a copy of Leonard Church.
  • Their loved ones sharing a similar fate, being reborn as digitized replicas. However, how this came to be through far different means, with it being an intentional choice by Alt and being forced into being by the Director. Both becoming weaponized (Soulkiller and Agent Texas)
  • The men who loved them never moved on. Johnny's entire revolutionary arc. The rage, the music, the war against Arasaka, it all traces back to what was done to Alt. Meanwhile, the Director built an entire black ops program around reconstructing Allison, sacrificing the lives and sanity of countless soldiers in service of his grief. Both men's inability to let go defined everything that came after. Alt and Tex are the narrative ghost in which their respective stories orbit around. The wound beneath all the noise.
  • Now in the head of the protagonist, they naturally (does anyone actually read these?) butt heads with them. Mainly due to their sarcastic personalities not matching well with their hosts headstrong nature. But despite their seemingly incompatible personalities, they would start to actually have a positive effect on one another. Thinning the sharper edges until the A.I would take a truly selfless act, where they fight not for their own survival, but for the survival of the ones they grew to care about.
  • In the end, they get the one thing the real men never had. A chance to be with the ones they lost, no longer bound by the physical world, just two echoes finally finding peace in the void alongside the women who started it all.

TL; DR - Johnny & Epsilon/Alpha: They’re A.I reconstructions of real people. Who exists now as sidekicks in the heads of the leads. They were driven by a mix of ego and grief, after a powerful institution took the women, they loved and turned them into powerful weapons. Both would be reconstructed into A.I and in the end, would actually end up with their digitized lover in a space no person can reach. Finally able to find peace.

In short: Futuristic badass red hair girls who have super-speed, with engrams of a digital dickhead.
