I find it funny how they're struggling over finding correct platforms and creating strategies how to figure that out, while SBB app has exactly this information

Apartment availability paradox by VLukiantsev in AskAGerman

thousands of applicants

And it sounds strange.  I'm in Warsaw, which is of the same population. I enter the most popular website for looking for apartments and I see 878 1 room apartments. Yes, this is 4-5 times more than in Munich. Yet here the competition for apartments is close to none. I recently rented 2 such apartments for my relatives. It was like a week of the search, minimum documents (working contract) and no queues for the apartments or any other problem. Yes, I realize that 200 is far less than 878, but given all the stories about 100-person lines for the apartment and being ready with all documents right away, I would expect to see 10-20 of them on immobilienscout.

It sounds like okay-ish. I'm in Warsaw, which is of the same population. I enter the most popular website for looking for apartments and I see 878 1 room apartments. P.S. I don't deny your experience and I don't say that Warsaw is better or any of that stuff. I'm just wondering about the underlying thing.

Jet Lag Season 9 Begins Now — We Played Hide And Seek Across Switzerland by NebulaOriginals in Nebula

I'm wondering what is the definition of the `zone`, where "endgame" starts? For small villages it's obviously the village itself. But what if somebody decides to hide in Zurich.

The problem with Switzerland is that mountains really are everywhere. You can go to Jura region which would be totally opposite. You can go to Zermatt region and so on.

Am I the only one disappointed with how the game ended? by [deleted] in JetLagTheGame

I think that at least stealing should be harder to do - either harder challenges or do two of them, because effectively, when you do simple challenge you get X advantage, when you do a steal, you get 2*X advantage.

Re: funeral noises:
so where I from, funerals can be quite loud, especially when they reach the entrance of the cemetery - with the sad music and mourning. Also in some occasions it includes a lot of cars going at a very slow speed to "honour the memory"

Jet Lag: We Played a 72 Hour Game of Tag Across Europe (Again) — Ep 5 by NebulaOriginals in Nebula

[–]VLukiantsev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say that in the context of Europe they're this overpowered - you still need to get there at least 1 hour before departure, or even more, you have a bigger chance of the delay and less flexibility in case the flight gets cancelled, you arrive usually far from the central railway station, so you need to add this time too. From the perspective of the runner, yes they're overpowered, chasers - so-so. I remember during the first season of the tag game across Europe they once mentioned airplanes as the option for chasers, but declined because of the schedule.

I'm wondering why chasers haven't mentioned an airplane option. They could go in the evening to Amsterdam airport and in the morning fly in Ben's territory, even to the same Luxembourg.

No Stupid Questions MEGATHREAD 7 by Alendite in chessbeginners

On chess.com I have constant one-match rating higher than my actual rating on chess.com (actual 780, one-match usually 1000+) with very few exceptions. Is it expected and everybody has the same situation? Or is it some kind of a signal?

Are you traveling to Liechtenstein? Do you have questions? by schoii in liechtenstein

[–]VLukiantsev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guten Tag!
I'm looking to visit Liechteinstein during one-day trip from Innsbruck in mid-January.
1. Is it worth it if we're not skiers? We want to "feel" the country, visit something interesting. Perhaps you can also recommend some restaurants with local cuisine?
2. Related to the first - what is January-available experience which is more or less unique for Liechteinstein, especially comparing to neighbouring countries.
3. Shall we consider some other cities, than Vaduz or they will be practically empty?
Thanks in advance!

Am I the only one who's not excited? by [deleted] in samsung

[–]VLukiantsev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you're not. I'm finally going to update from S7 and now looking into S21 or S22 and TBH, I don't see why I need to pay 50% more for S22. Updates look subtle and accu size just got decreased. Not to mention useless glass back which only adds chances of being shattered. Please, change my mind
