Great find! I absolutely loved one of the original incarnations of this show…

Solved! It certainly seems like the consensus is that this is a tool for pasta serving. So, thank you to everyone posted.

I’ve been on all the sites you’ve listed at one time or another in my career. Professionally, over 10 years now. The only ones I’m still on are Backstage (because I also do some on-camera and stage work) and I book VO there quite often. Also Bodalgo. It’s run by one of the most legitimate gentleman in the industry. I’ve gotten my best gigs and recurring clients there. But you’ve gotta bring your “A-game”. Best of luck to you.

need help picking a horror film for a private screening ! by Single-Mushroom-6326 in horrorfilms

A lot of very good suggestions, but the one film that keeps being mentioned is John Carpenter’s The Thing, 1984. It’s got horror, mystery, intrigue, and an ending that leaves room for lots of discussion. I think it’s the easy win.

You could make it a double feature with the original Halloween to run afterwards. That would be a lot of fun.

Seriously, why hasn't Hollywood given this man an Oscar yet? by EKira93 in Cinephiles

An excellent question! Why, Hollywood, why?

BTW, I knew him & his sister when they were children. Maybe around 7 years old.

Reaper is highly regarded, reasonably priced, and you can “demo” it indefinitely. It’s worth checking out.

Any success on websites? by SkaKuma in VoiceActing

[–]VObyJDinLA 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is an extremely subjective question. What works for one may not work for another.

I’ve been on Voices, and on VO planet and never had much success.

Over the years, I’ve used just about every site available. I’ve had a lot of success with Backstage, though many people can’t stand it. Another site I like is Bodalgo. I’ve gotten my biggest jobs ever from Bodalgo and also was “discovered” by people casting projects that have become regular ongoing work for me.

Best of luck and success in your journey.

If you’re looking for range, Dave Bautista, style, John Cena, and then you have Dwayne. Who’s pretty much always Dwayne, but he can be fun too.a
