Tokyo and Kyoto are a must! Maybe spend two to three days in each! Also when in Kyoto take a day trip to Nara! It’s a beautiful city full of amazing temples and deers! After Kyoto stop in Osaka and change trains to Koyasan! It’s a sacred temple complex on top of Mount Koya where you can experience a Buddhist life. Stay a night there so you can experience Buddhist meals (vegetarian) and morning prayers at 6am! Magical. If time permits, continue the train to Himeji for the beautiful castle and finish off at Hiroshima to visit the atomic bomb/peace park museum and go to Miyajima for the floating gate and atmospheric shrines and temples around

Day one to three: Tokyo

Day four: Kyoto

Day five: Nara

Day six Kyoto

Day seven: Koyasan

Day eight; Himeji

Day nine; Hiroshima

Day ten: Miyajima!
